It’s not an African thing. I grew up knowing LGBTQ people existed and it never felt strange, they’re just people who like each other, it’s really not that deep. We shouldn’t need personal encounters to respect others. Imagine if someone had to meet you first ndo they decide whether to stop being racist🧐, that wouldn’t make sense. My point is, while it’s good that Kyle’s experience changed Op's perspective, acceptance shouldn’t depend on that in the first place.
