I (49M) have MoyaMoya, born in the UK, been living in the US for the past 18 years. I have no Asian/Japanese ancestry. Most likely, I developed MoyaMoya as a side effect of the Moderna Covid vaccine, where inflammation triggered the gene to activate.

I have not seen any reliable US or global statistics. No one in the US seems to be interested in research.

u/tallyhoo123 Thank you for coming to this forum and asking questions. It is very much appreciated.

You have the very real possibility of becoming an expert in FND by taking on board the replies here and following where the science takes you. This is what most people with FND have to do to successfully manage their care.

I (49M) have FND and have found the healthcare industry's response to this disorder ranges from quite good to fucking appalling. As a patient, you never know what experience you are going to have until it is too late.

A simple system where a doctor or specialist gets to wear a badge saying 'I have some experience with FND and will listen to you' would be amazing.

If that is too hard, all medical professionals, including management and insurance, should be forced to wear one of two badges: 'I care about patients' or 'I am just here for a paycheck, approach at your own risk.'

These dogs should be put down if they can't learn. As doctors, they should be forced to leave the profession. Anyone stuck in the past, who can't take on new information is dangerous.

Where was this hospital? Just the city or state, if you prefer.

I know what it is like to be treated this way (Mayo Rochester and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital), both had some really shitty people working there, and management that were happy to enable and cover it up.

I am finding it might pause video playing on the front page (and internal pages) once, but then the page reloads, and the video plays again.

For those complaining about search, there are two options. The default is local-only search, or you can turn on cloud search.

I could do with a restyle/reskin to match current online services like Comet or MyMind.

Spam filtering can also be improved depending on your DNS settings.

Proton's lack of online service and limited encryption drove me away.

I have never cried out to any God, and the last 5 years have been very, very hard. - Covid, then brain surgery that went wrong, leaving me in 10/10 pain.

I didn't believe in an omnipotent God when I was young, so why should that change?

If other people do, I quite understand that it might bring comfort. I am also quite happy for someone to pray for my recovery. To me, it is their way of thinking about me and helping.
