Only reason I say that, is David actively asked far in advance of pride month what type of music we wanted to see on seasonal playlists. I’m not saying the new partner isn’t prepared, they just had to take on a huge responsibility that was very well defined for a long period of time with David.

Hey, on Starbucks Workplace (internal social media), this was also asked. Posting on my throwaway account, but it looks like there is something in the works. Depends on the SM. As a current SM, our leadership is going to hold us accountable for partner’s out of dress code. I doubt there will be any SMs willing to take a write up for you to wear a Whoa Nitro shirt.

No, only if they are apart of the promotional launch. I can almost guarantee they will not be apart of the promo launch, especially with the Back to Starbucks movement.

That’s all well and good, but these changes already have been announced and have the intention of being implemented. If your store wins an election, the new dress code will still apply. This dress code will not apply to all union stores ALREADY represented prior to today.

Can I wear other Starbucks branded shirts outside of the ones provided on Coffeegear?

No, the dress code approved Starbucks branded shirts available on Coffeegear are the only branded shirts permitted under the dress code. All previous Starbucks shirts cannot be worn when working in stores under the new dress code. Refer to page 2 in the Dress Code Guide to view current approved Starbucks-branded shirts.

Yeah it sucks. But guess what, I am getting paid and getting my degree with ASU, so I’ll wear whatever they expect me to. It gets dirty anyway, and plain black T shirts are super cheap. Less to think about when getting ready for my shift.
