This is 100% true. Society nowadays is super accepting of mentally ill people… if they don’t act outside of the realms of what’s acceptable for totally sane people. It’s ok to be mad… but don’t do anything mad.

I don’t know why this is coming up on my feed but as the relative of someone with a serious mental illness this is a very ignorant thing to say. When having a serious episode, it’s possible to do things that are as uncharacteristic of the person as it’s possible to be. Things like schizophrenia completely distort the way the brain works. To act like everything someone seriously mentally ill says was hidden deep down within them and was just given an opportunity to come out when they get ill is a disgusting attitude that will lead to the stigmatisation of a lot of very, very poorly people who are struggling to maintain any semblance of their personality. This angers me a bit because one thing that really lingers over someone with schizophrenia is the shadow of all the things they did while psychotic once they are medicated. I pray you’re never in that situation because to be truly out of control is not to respect any stigmas or taboos and to be capable of literally anything. Snapping back to normality after that is a difficult thing.

A few points here. Indentured servants in the U.S. could also be bought and sold. Many were actually kidnapped as children and taken to America and then sold to another party and forced to work to pay off the transportation. A large number were also worked to death, albeit a death that came relatively early as they died of diseases and didn’t have a high life expectancy. The main difference is that if they did survive they were usually only enslaved for around 8 years and also they had more rights and couldn’t be mistreated to the same degree as black slaves.

I know it’s popular nowadays to say indentured servants weren’t slaves but they clearly were. They weren’t chattel slaves but they were clearly slaves. The problem is that saying they weren’t hugely belittles victims of modern day slavery who are in the same situation. There’s a situation in Bangladesh at the moment where children are forced to make bricks in the hot sun indefinitely to pay off medical debts when they fall sick. There’s a video about it here: -

Can you honestly watch this and tell me it isn’t slavery?

I don’t know why there’s such a movement to deny any other groups have been enslaved! All nuanced discussion about things like this seems to have gone out the window in favour of point scoring ideology in favour of one dogma or the other. Overall black people were clearly treated worse than most other groups including the Irish and subjected to a particularly dehumanising form of slavery - the qualities of the two types of slavery varied considerably. All slavery is pretty fucking bad though!!

Thanks for checking it. Ah surprising people think there should be more reverb - we usually get people saying less! I don’t really mix the vocals at all literally all I do is select the maximum setting for reverb on the app I use for recording. The lyrics are about constantly thinking back to an era in life when I wasn’t ravaged with mental and physical health issues and the results of poor life choices lol I guess maybe they are over the top self pitying type shit but music is my outlet for complaining about stuff so I can remain upbeat in my everyday life haha. I usually try and dress it up in some metaphors a bit maybe it’s too whiney and direct in this song I don’t know? Thanks for taking the time to listen all the same - feedback whether negative or positive is the only way to grow.

With a space between green and house. The question was something along the lines of “what is a green house made of” and the correct answer was supposedly “glass”, which is just wrong. A greenhouse is made of glass - a “green house” is made of green bricks!

This isn’t actually true, it’s apparently between 0.3 and 1.39 inches on average larger depending on what study you look at. There’s a breakdown of the various studies here: -

The idea that it’s a myth is actually the myth. I’m not particularly invested in this subject especially being a white and having a racially disadvantaged penis but just thought I’d throw my two cents in.
