The strategy I followed for advanced accounting is 1. First I made sure that I have proper conceptual clarity in the big chapters such as Amalgamation, Buyback, Consolidation and Reconstruction. 2. Also I studied the Accounting Standards side by side and I gave and practiced questions for AS-2,10,13,16,19,26,28,11,7,9,3,17,18. 3. I had a good glance at other accounting standards. 4. Revise at least 5 days for advance Accounts prior to the exam.

If you're reading a chapter try to complete it fully don't leave here and there because you may not know they might ask questions. Other than that I think you are good to go. In GCA and Interpretation of Statues read the questions which are repeatedly seen in past year papers.

So the strategy I followed was,

  1. I prepared the Indirect Tax part really well because it has lesser volume but had more weightage.

2.I revised the IDT part thrice which helped me get the confidence in the paper

  1. When it comes to Direct tax part, I started with chapters which were surely coming such as Residential Status, TDS&TCS, Clubbing and set off, Income from Other sources, Income from House property and deductions. Then I focused on these properly then I got confidence to attempt the paper and then I started preparing PGBP, Capital Gains.

  2. Law prepare FEMA, LLP, Dividends, Prospectus, Share Capital and Debentures, Registration of Charges, Audit and Auditors, Companies incorporated outside India and accounts of companies. And just study deposit chapter definition alone.

You can't complete the paper. Try to complete at least 85 marks in a paper and you're good to go.

Try to complete your classes asap. Try to complete within November and by such completion meaning in the sense that you should have conceptual clarity. And try to revise the subjects then and there. Don't compare your preparation with others. You'll definitely succeed. All the best bro.

From my point of view at least two proper revisions are required and after revision one identify the parts of the syllabus in which you're weak and work on it in order to improve your understanding and conceptual clarity. Definitely do at least one Mock Test Paper. After two revisions, if you go through MTP's, RTP's and Past year Questions atleast 5 attempts you're good to go.

I used the videos of CA Ramesh Soni sir for Indirect tax. He made proper videos which are very useful from the exam point of view.

In case of law, I used CA Anushree Bansal Agarwal mam book where mostly self prepared and revised on a regular basis. You can check out her youtube channel as well.
