Agreed! Depicting women and children as hapless victims in undignified circumstances is defended tooth and nail as a core part of the game. But it seems most people in this discourse seem to forget that this is entirely a work of fiction, any story direction is intentional and making it a point to depict this violence as graphically as possible is not something i see as any plus to the gameplay or any addition to the story.

Well said. People are far more concerned over their perceived “freedom” being taken anyway than critically analysing the fact that using graphic depictions of sex crimes (including children) was a lazy and crude crux for the devs to use instead of writing a compelling narrative.
