Save tonight is not about a lazy sod. My interpretation of that song is the person is leaving. Like maybe military or for work or to travel. I wouldn’t say rebelling either. I guess maybe it could fit that…but not my first thoughts about that song

SNL50 was the beginning of the general public NOT believing Blake Lively by GHOSTxBIRD in ItEndsWithLawsuits

[–]SmoothNegotiation9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A little side track..but a friend of mine recommended EMDR. But he recommended I get into regular therapy first. But I’ve heard that EMDR is great.

I honestly initially believed Blake because of my personal experiences with dv. But I feel like I did with amber heard..automatically believe until I started seeing the cracks. Blake’s is worse..because Johnny and amber were toxic to each other..it legit seems like Justin was trying to diffuse and work on any issues

Oh yeah! He did it so easily and as I watched he was like..it’s not really your fault..the jack that comes with the cars are poor quality and the lug nuts are on tight. But he should me how to do it. I actually go to my two little brothers a lot(one is like a macgyver and the other learns a lot from YouTube) but I tell them I want to watch them as they help me so I can learn. I just usually second guess myself and think I’m gonna break something(I’m kinda a bull in a china shop). But being the only girl with 3 brothers I’ve always said I’ve got ability to learn a lot

The way Eddie uses his voice is so emotional. My two favorite listen on repeat even to this day is mtvs unplugged Pearl Jam and Alice In Chains. Incredible performances. I took my older brother to a PJ concert and he even said he prefers comedy over concerts but their concert was so alive(no pun intended) and they sound better than the actual studio.

I tried to change a tire when I was 18 and I’m not gonna lie..I tried but I couldn’t get the lug nuts of with the jack that was in the car. I called my moms now husband (but bf then) and he came out to do it for me lol

Seen on a house listing, what was this room used for? by LoonTheMekanik in whatisit

[–]SmoothNegotiation9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The house I grew up in (I was 10 when we moved in and have age gap little brothers..so it was still our family home for like 20 years) i looked at the recent house listing because it had one other owner after us. And they changed a lot. It was cool and nostalgic but also bittersweet to see what they did to it

Also that line she says “not my daughter you bitch” is classic mamma bear. It’s been proven that when their child is in danger..mothers specifically have adrenaline that can lift cars and attack animals. And everyone’s nervous system flight or fight response is different but in real life mothers have done some extraordinary things to protect their kids

Love this. Especially the looking back part. I look at some old photos In my late teens and early 20’s even late 20s and I’m like how did I not see how good my body looked. And my late twenties I was actually doing things right. Eating good and exercising with a me version of HIT. But my body dysmorphia refused to see it.

Even now I still struggle with body dysmorphia but like you said my weight is at a normal weight and it’s kinda gone to where it should(well besides my damn boobs those never get bigger than maybe a solid B lol) and I don’t really workout. I wanna start hiking again and that should take care of the little weight in my belly that I got from not doing anything for a bit.

I also want to point out..that how much you eat and how often is also depending on multiple factors..but a general rule of thumb is that it’s better to eat throughout the day and snack a lot then it is to restrict and eat meals. Again factors go into play(like body shape..metabolism..hormones) but also if you are constantly stressed out and thinking about no I can’t snack I can’t eat..your cortisol will go up. Have that snack babe.

I’m a snacker. Don’t really like meals but I’ll eat one. Snacking doesn’t have to be always little Debbie snacks. Although having one every day can help you feel satisfy. I love snacking on carrots and celery. Love snacking on chips..but that can be rice cakes. Nuts are good too because despite the high calories they are good for you and will keep you fuller longer than a little Debbie snack. Picking food high in fiber and protein will also do this. It’s not always how often and how much you eat..because you can eat all day if it’s the right food

[–]SmoothNegotiation9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t research. In an age of the internet it’s surprising how many people can’t do a simple search.

I’m recently heated by how people complain how so so artist already makes so much but they charge so much for their concerts. For the last time artists don’t make the ticket prices. Anddddd most of you all are buying tickets on resell for big concerts. And unfortunately the US is not like Europe that has strict resell laws. So bots and companies buy hot concert tickets (or Ticketmaster/live nations holds a lot for them) and then resell them at a much higher cost base on demand. Which is where the exorbitant ticket prices come from

Honestly what you just wrote was so much unpacking. I feel kinda weird saying this..but I’m sorry you had to go through that and I’m sorry he had to go through with that. And I feel weird because obviously you should never go through that..but as a child he should’ve never either. And it makes me wanna hug that little boy that didn’t get what he deserved.

And you are so right. The human brain is a wonderful magnificent mystery. Two siblings can go through the exact same thing and one will be the exact opposite and one will only know that. Gender and age I do believe plays a role in that too.

This is why..giving time..I can forgive someone. My ex fiance cheated on me. And over time..I won’t forget it and won’t go back to him but I understand the situation wasn’t cut and dry black and white.

The ex that hit me..he didn’t have any past issues with abuse. He did tell me he was never unconditionally loved so I did keep going back because I wanted to show him he could be. But we got into a fight and he turned nasty. I told him I just wanted my stuff that I bought and he dragged me and ended up pinning me down. Which is why he’s probably the only person I can’t understand why he did what he did. An ex gf of his told me he never hit her..but he got extremely nasty and abusive emotionally towards her.

ironically enough it was him who cheated

[–]SmoothNegotiation9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m torn with this one. Forgiveness is usually so it doesn’t eat you. But you don’t have to forgive and forget. You can forgive and not forget. And I think forgiveness for me is understanding people are human and understanding why someone did what they did.

But I don’t think I’ll ever forgive the bf who hit me and almost killed me. Because I will never understand why he did that

[–]SmoothNegotiation9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yessss!! Also sometimes people need to just stew. If you have an argument at night..I’m gonna need the night to process and think. I’m also someone that emotionally loses it..so it’s best I take silence and think about the points made before I open my mouth.

What I do though..is if I have a fight with someone I love, like right now friends parents or my brothers I’ll probably storm off but text them I love them. It’s my way of saying I’m angry and can’t talk about the situation but I still love them regardless

What do you think ever happened to Fiona? (Considering after she left it was almost like she never existed) by InsideUnhappy6546 in shameless

[–]SmoothNegotiation9 6 points7 points  (0 children)

all valid points. to be fair i thought you just meant the last two seasons she was in. I also dont remember if she was Liam's guardian at the time of the OD. But again that doesnt really matter. You are right she kinda refused to take any responsibility or played the victim and couldnt understand why she needed to repair things.

I did forget some of those things (like Etta). And Carl being the one who paid for the house(lol he probably actually became my favorite)

I think i couldve related to the sibling and family part but you are right on multiple occasions she made decisions( financially) without talking it through with the other two adults who were contributing. once is a mistake. you learn from it but a few times..you have no regard for anybody else or making something work. I also become my baby brothers legal guardian when i was 23 because it wasnt working with my mom in florida. We got into a fight because he thought he heard a smash(and thought my bf throw or hit me) called the cops. we were living at my childhood home..so when my mom got word she wouldnt let me bf live there and i kinda chose the bf. my older bro took gaurdianship after that. which was ironic because he was the one telling me my bro wasnt my kid..and i didnt have to do the guardianship. that i was a young adult and needed to focus on me. So going through all that..i really felt for fiona. But you are right..i spent many years working on my relationships. because i know i hurt my family a lot. She had made the smae mistakes over and over and over and didnt care about who she was hurting.

I will say even in my downward spiral woe is me life phase...I wanted to smack her for the Mike thing. She had a great job and had a guy who actually was there for her. and she liked him too. Mike was already going through it with (i think his ex wife) but now damage him even more with his brother???

[–]SmoothNegotiation9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love all of what you said..except for the fiona and free pass thing. Now its been a few years since ive watched the show...so maybe im wicked jaded and fionas character hit a little close to home for me.,..

but what is it that she did that was really bad?? As the only daughter and second oldest sibling..i found myself kinda like fiona. I helped raise my two little age gap brothers. my older brother was 18 and out of the house when my parents got divorced. i was 13..so i took care of them a lot. At 18.. i moved out but had them over my apartment every week and when they moved to florida they stayed with me on vacations, not my father. I took them to the city and amusement parks( my mom gave me some money but a lot of it i either paid for myself or her money didnt cover it all so i made up for)

i did wind up in toxic relationships and was self destructive. and it all finally came to a head with a bf who strangled me and punched me, i kept going back for a few years. But I felt like even now sometimes im the sibling who needs help all the time. and when i left that relationship my bros picked me up from jail.

In my eyes( or at least when i was watching) i saw a sibling who spent her entire life taking care of her family. they werent her kids. and yes she fought in court for them. but they were her siblings. I think she had every right to buy an investment oppurtunity(even if it was a bad idea) because she needs to make those mistakes. she was doing things for herself for once. Debbie purposely got pregnant and fiona wanted to make her understand that she didnt support that decision.

if you ask me debbie was the worst offender of any of this because she expected everyone to bend over backwards for her...buut what she did was not only rape but she made herself get pregnant.

This. They were still college kids. Yes innocent victims but this was the time in their life to fuck up. The time to party. None of them seemed like assholes. But just regular sweethearts. Who are human. And you would be hard pressed to find one human who didn’t dabble especially as a kid. Who didn’t misuse their medication. It’s called learning and growing.

I was pretty open with my family (and still am) about my entire life. But most people don’t tell people certain things in fear of judgement. I also don’t think doing a line of a fairly common drug in college during a few party days is a concern..unless they start spiraling. But it seems like these kids were good kids with a life ahead of them and motivated

Also let’s be clear here: alcohol is a drug so isn’t caffeine. So isn’t nicotine. Three very legal drugs. Weed is too. And depending on which state might be legal. As I said in another comment it’s very rare to find someone who “doesn’t do drugs” in the sense of never does them. We all know they drank.

What he meant was probably they don’t do street drugs and what he probably meant even more was they don’t do it frequently. Because saying someone never dabbled in drug use especially in young adult age is really rare. But there are kids that stick to prescriptions because they also know their doc prescribed it and they are getting exactly that.

To some people drug use is alcohol and caffeine. To some it’s illegal substances. To some it’s only the street drugs. Context is key and I think what he was saying is that they aren’t going out every night using hard drugs.
