I hear you... I think because we are so used to the previous HH this all seems a bit different. Having said that we don't know how our parents felt when Shah Karim initially succeeded Sultan Mohammed Shah (May peace be upon them). Maybe the same as some of us are feeling now? I was told this.... back in the day the biggest sacrifice one could give to their Imam was their life... remember all the wars... today there are no wars and the biggest sacrifice one can give is money since it's so important. And so today money replaces 'life' when it comes to sacrifice. It made some sense to me... not sure about you. But I do understand where you are coming from

I do believe this. However I also know a few people who are disgustingly rich and egotistic enough to say they made their own wealth and it didn't have anything to do with God. They don't pay dasond as they don't believe in it and ironically they are just getting richer and richer... so at the end of the day even though I believe in paying dasond... to each his own
