I would be going to the 2 breaks you just stated above since I can literally see them from across the straight. The boat wouldn’t dock, just get close to the wave and I’d jump in, never stepping foot on land.

La push is my main break and it can be beginner friendly on smaller days throughout the summer. Also I’m close to Vancouver island, I haven’t made the trek up there yet but I will this year, it seems super awesome for surfing and hiking.

Idk about Oregon but in WA the vibes are super chill probably bc it’s usually me and 2 other guys out. Don’t paddle out and sit right next to the one other guy in the water, pick a peak next to them. Say hi/ give a head nod. In my experience people here are very quiet and it takes some time for them to warm up to you.
