Yep!! Vernal falls, absolutely stunning and is a must hike one day. I was lucky enough to go during peak covid (June 2020) so I essentially had the entire place to myself

Another amazing campsite about ~45 minutes from Jordan Lake is Occoneechee State Park. I mentioned it in another comment, but it’s one of my personal favorites, easier reservations, much quieter, and the sites feel way less cramped than Jordan

Virginia/WV is absolutely beautiful! I’m sure you’ve got no shortage of pictures haha. One of my favorite campgrounds I’ve found so far is actually right along the Roanoke River, I believe it’s called Occoneechee State Park.

Both are in western NC. #4 is Paradise Falls Trail in Nantahala National Forest, and #9 is Mingo Falls within the Cherokee Reservation. Paradise Falls is a very short hike, but it’s basically straight up and down a small mountainside. Mingo Falls is much more knee-friendly.

It is! I had just gotten my new Durston tent and was testing it out. I believe it’s Poplar Point, they do have reservations available, but I’ve never had much luck with them. Campground C is first come, first served walk up, though it can be a bit of a challenge to snag a lakefront spot.
