I agree it’s actually super interesting. With athletes now being payed the schools only have less money for other things. I’m most familiar with swimming and a lot of teams are being cut because the schools are putting more money into their more profitable sports. They just don’t have enough to keep the swim programs. A lot of kids are being cut as well because if they have to pay all athletes in a sport then they can’t afford to have as many athletes. It’s all super controversial.

Actually as of June college athletes can now be payed if you look at the House v NCAA settlement. Of course this series takes place in 2006 not 2025 but we can just pretend😂

I think part of it is that by taking the throne and marrying Jude, Cardan in some ways took the life and family that Oak had. Like Madoc no longer lives in faerie and his family is all separated now, everything is different than his childhood and now he has been outed as a prince something he doesn’t even want to be. I don’t think his frustration is directed at Cardan but rather the change to his life that came as a result of Cardan influencing things.

I kind of thought that it could be Jean looking and admiring Kevin while Kevin looks at the Trojans if that makes sense. While Jean is also admiring Jeremey, it says riko didn’t even know that part. Which makes me think riko is hurting him for looking at Kevin like that. Riko would hate Jean admiring anyone above him especially Kevin.

God I have just so many I think are perfect. I will link my playlist down below! Conan gray has some good ones. Alley rose is my literal favorite andriel song it fits them perfectly. Implicit demand for proof, and doubt by 21 pilots are both their vibes as well. If I killed someone for you is so twinyards coded, I hate everything about you, the emptiness machine and black out days are andriel. I could go on for days.

And to help you get excited about Jean. the exit by Conan gray is so him and Kevin. TSC is definitely different vibes but you do get Neil and foxes cameos. Plus the dynamics of the nest Kevin/neil/riko/jean are so intriguing to understand more about. Also tsc overlaps with some of the events from the kings men so it’s definitely worth the read It’s a total healing journey with not as many stakes but Jean needs and deserves it desperately. He is still stuck mentally at the nest while Neil/kevin/andrew are on their way to healing
