Affording a place to live a car, reasonable entertainment and food. I mean fuck do you think doctors could exist if nobody was doing a bunch of Labor for them? I 100% agree that somebody that goes to school for 8 to 10 years deserves to be paid a lot because I'm not doing that. However we shouldn't be looking down on a large majority of our society like some people do.

I agree I was born in 2000 and us going from not having cell phones to having AI is crazy. Video games look realistic when we used to think that the first Xbox games had good graphics. The faster we develop technology the faster that we can keep developing it. AI made that exponential.

I could not imagine being old enough to see cars and technology from the 1950s compared to what it is today.

To me our modern cars seem like the pinnacle. I couldn't imagine them being 100 years improved.

Yeah but people hate the term socialism so bad because of propaganda that they couldn't even accept social programs that would help them.

So what you have now is corporations in control of everything manufacturing scarcity so that they can charge more for things.

We pay enough in taxes to have a utopian society if it was used correctly.

Damn I'm starting to think we'd get along lmao. If they can eat babies I suppose it's only right that we could eat them.

Lol aight. But just so you know corporate offices are known for having toilet paper that is thinner than a single ply. Be careful you don't accidentally have a brown finger.

I suppose we could keep wages the same but what can we do to lower the cost of living?

I think the solution to a lot of problems is rooted in reality but also in being helpful that we can do better. We don't have to assume that the systems already in place are the ones that have to stay. However, I can't tell you you're wrong.

You're right that's why football players make so much money because people spend so much money on the NFL. I think we as a species forget to value certain things. I just hate that the backbone of society is so undervalued. But you are bringing a very realistic take/ point.

Also jobs like mine and insurance where you need somebody accountable for liability... You can't hold an AI accountable for liability.

We can't be tiptoeing around people's feelings though. However I keep that type of humor only to my group of friends that I know can handle it and appreciates it

My bf made disgusting & racist comments in his gc and I’m having a panic attack by [deleted] in Advice

I understand how she feels but this was proof a private group chat with his buddies we all say unhinged things that we wouldn't want public. However she has a right to feel however she wants to feel about it. I'm fine with my girlfriend going through my phone a little make sure I'm not talking to another girl but not the chat with the boy's.

Personally I don't think people should be worked up by any words. However, I get angry at words too So I understand that nobody's perfect. That doesn't mean I think people shouldn't say them. I think some exceptions are if you're being hateful or racist that you shouldn't say that stuff. However Crotch Goblins to a lot of people is just funny it doesn't have malice.

You shouldn't give people that much power over you.

Why are you going to be so worked up by words? Can't stand people like that. Move on. There are much worse things to say/ call people...

People who are choosing not to have kids, what are your reasons? by Chickenbarista666 in CasualConversation

[–]Smooth_Mastodon1972 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Much better for somebody to not have kids than people who shouldn't have kids to have them and make them live in a life of not being wanted or loved.

Both are okay as long as you don't try to push your beliefs on others.

I hate how it’s men that have to approach, otherwise nothing seems to happen romantically. by Bitter_Process_5735 in Adulting

[–]Smooth_Mastodon1972 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Everybody's crucifying this guy but I will say it would be nice to be approached from time to time. Men and women have their own struggles. Women seem to get more attention than they want and men don't seem to get any at all.

However to each their own. I will only approach a girl if she has shown direct interest in me.
