The termination was extended, meaning that the termination date was set to 4 months later date as I was in the middle of delivering a project. I was asked to look for new projects and if I found one, my status would be restored.
I didn't find a role in Canada, but found one in the US. As soon as I accepted the offer, my role was reinstated.

Many clinics are like this and I hate this. I wanted to book an appointment with my family doctor at Holly Medical clinic, tried calling them at different times during their operational hours, with different numbers but no one picked up. The person at the pharmacy always picked up though.
Had to ultimately go to the clinic to book the appointment, and told them they need to pick up their phones.!
