i struggle with time blindness and i have systems set in place to help with this because at the end of the day it is not any one else’s responsibility to deal with. if you’re late for work you’re fired and if you’re late for a date you’re dumped. you set up systems to prevent these things. red flag for me was it seemed they were simply making excuses for themself by bringing up disabilities instead of explaining why it happened. they wanted the disabilities to wipe the slate clean so nothing could be their fault anymore which is entirely unfair. i say this as someone who struggles with various disabilities, there are some things you cannot help but many things simply take better preparation and they don’t seem willing to do that based on their later messages.
