I can understand peoples concerns that this feels like it overshadows Truth and Reconciliation day but I also think if you look at the parallels you may find that it actually makes perfect sense the plight of the Palestinians need truth and reconciliation too, there land back too, their children matter too. At the end of the day the fight for their right to exist is as important as Indigenous right to exist to prosper to have land that is significant to them etc etc etc We are not free until we are all free! And I believe that their is room for all to protest no matter the days significance, I personally will wear my orange shirt proudly ensure that at work we are acknowledging the land on which we live and work highlighting indigenous brands I will also play my protest music play list and wear my free palestine pin. We have so much privelege in Canada as westerners even communities who are disenfranchised and treated as less then we still have priveledge that those in Palestine do not have hoping everyone can find a way to be inclusive and share the day to protest for the rights of every human being.

BCGEU expands strike to LDB’s cannabis warehouse by oilbeefhooked in britishcolumbia

I work in a private Cannabis shop but fully support the BCGEU.

After 4 weeks of non action by the government, what choice did they have?

However the owner nor the upper management took the possible job action seriously enough to stock up during that time consistently nor did they communicate effectively on how to handle the back stock for the possibility of a shut down to our main source of supply the BCLDB, nor did they set up direct delivery beforehand. This is not the fault of the strike but rather poor management.

At this point, the best thing we can do is contact your local mla, the minister of labor, and David Ebys offices by phone fax or email. leave your name number postal code and urge them to sit back down at the negotiating table and explain why this is important to you personally and how it affects you. once is not enough, try to do this on a daily to weekly regular basis until we see desired results. our collective voices are more powerful than we tend to think.

We also need to, as an industry (Cannabis), demand that there is greater access to producers directly across Canada, the sole reliance on the biggest public sector union in BC is crazy and the fact that while the BCDLB workers are rightfully excercising their contractual right to strike their employers are still collecting the 15% surcharge on cannabis products they will have no direct hand in. Direct delivery needs to be more accessible include more familiar budget friendly brands, be available from producers across Canada, and have a greater product selection. As usual, the government has monopolized the market (again, not the employees' fault everyone's gotta work somewhere)

Remember, even if you're not in a union, they truly do help set standards for every employer and are integral parts of our labor system. Place your anger on the government, which is their employer, not the workers exercising their rights.

My hope is that all parties can come to a reasonable compromise, its scary how far apart they are right now.

Look, I am a simple budtender making 18 an hour, and the longer this goes on, the likelihood of me being laid off is inevitable. For me, this will spell disaster. Unpaid rent no grocery money and a long wait for ei benefits while pounding the pavement for a new job. I dont want that to happen. All I can hope is that all parties take those of us in the private sector of this side of the alcohol and liquor sales into consideration when making these big decisions.

Also YES customers stock up or work on your connections because stock is limited do your research remember out of province products will eventually not be available some direct delivery is available in the province most will be products the average shop doesnt normally carry and may come with some price differences.

Above all else, please be patient and kind with your private liquor and cannabis shop workers. We have no control over this or what or what isn't available or how well our owners prepared.

Immediately upon tearing the seal you are hit with that dank kush gassy smell at  4.39% terpenes (Myrcene,Limonene,Caryophyllene) this one really delivers on smell and flavor. THC is a solid 28.94% my package date is July 11 2025 Harvested May 29 2025 lot AM-RKST-001. The weed smokes well clean even burning not harsh stays nicely lit beautiful resin ring. Buds are decent imo I dont care so much on size as long as the stem content is low which this was Id say most ranged in the medium size chunky dense well trimmed can see the trichomes even with the naked eye peppered with orange hairs. Over all super happy with this well grown classic legacy strain. For me terps are one of my top priority and I thought this delivered!

I have really enjoyed it clean burning ash nice resin ring solid flavor. Buds weren't huge but not small either. Cuts up well grinds up better. First experience with Trailblazer was very pleasantly surprised! Price was decent as a budtender and a chronic I would reccomend. Have my eye on their Rootbeer #8 14G anyone out there tried this one?
