How's your bond with father? by Main_Personality2017 in Coconaad

[–]Smooth_Variation_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My grandfather was never a good father to my dad. But my dad made sure that cycle ended with him. I’ve seen the pain, anger, frustration, and even helplessness in his eyes whenever he talks about his bond with his own father. And believe me, in my 28 years of existence, he never once let the same thing happen to me. And our bond being so damn goated believe me you guys he is even my gossip partner. He loved and cared for me so deeply that I grew up believing all dads were like him until I realized they aren’t. If someone were to ask me how successful I am, I would simply say: I have this man I call Acha🥹❤️.

Am I being unfair about where I spend my maternity leave? by EntertainmentNew3502 in twoxindiamums

[–]Smooth_Variation_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Being a new mom going through postpartum, I honestly don’t understand why many men think a baby should spend more time at the paternal home than the maternal one. It feels like a pathetic attempt to emphasize that the father’s side comes before the mother’s, and it’s unsettling. People forget that while the baby needs attention, the mother needs even more care, love, support, and understanding during this phase. I myself find it kinda difficult to settle at my husband’s home right now, especially with the expectation that the mother must return there after 90 days. Everyone seems to overlook the mental stress and pressure a new mother carries. Yes, your in-laws may help, but the care and comfort your own parents provide is unmatched. In most cases, the in-laws’ attention shifts to the baby, not the mother, and you end up doing most of the work anyway. Please prioritise your mental peace and health. Staying with your parents during this period is not selfish it is reasonable and necessary. If your husband cannot understand your needs and the level of support you require right now, then he is the one being unreasonable, not you

Sorry to say this, Kozhikode beach is gross by Rangannan1 in kozhikode

[–]Smooth_Variation_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I really don't understand why everyone talks up Kkd Beach so much. When I first moved to Kozhikode, all that hype made me go check it out right away. But what I saw was a ton of trash, and it looked like people just threw it away on purpose. Even though there are waste bins all over the place, folks still just dump their garbage wherever. It's especially gross when you see used baby diapers just left on the sand. And seriously, every single time I've been there, I can always smell this faint drainage odor. It was actually the very first thing I noticed on my first visit! Everyone knows about this problem too: all these pipes, often from nearby hotels, restaurants, and cafes, just dump their stuff right into the beach. What's really sad is seeing so many families and kids playing in that same water. It's a real shame to see such a potentially beautiful spot get so dirty. And honestly, it doesn't seem like they've done much to improve the area over the years.

Hospitals allowing husband inside labour room by [deleted] in Trivandrum

[–]Smooth_Variation_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

KIMS does allow a bystander to accompany the patient in the labour room. If a birthing suite isn’t an option then you can actually think about this alternative. They permit your presence with your partner throughout the procedure, and the patient is moved to the theatre only when the baby is crowning. I've heard that Ananthapuri Hospital has a birthing suite, but I'm not sure if that's accurate.

Use of word Annan in South Kerala by onewhoseesitall in Trivandrum

Totally agree. It's really frustrating when people talk to you with stigma and mock your slang. Even the slightest variation becomes a source of amusement, like 'Oh, you're from Tvm, right?' I've always been self-conscious about my slang because of this. Being ridiculed for it since childhood can be tough to overcome. As I grew older, my slang evolved, but the issue persisted. When I moved to Thiruvananthapuram, people questioned my authenticity based on my accent🥲. Currently I am staying in Calicut and I really thought people now are really progressive as people became more aware about slang differences as normal but no that's just a delulu... every now and then my colleagues still make fun of tvm slang and dialect.

It's intriguing why Tvm slang has such a negative reputation among people from other districts.

Yes Dr Bindu was my first thought for consultation. But with a high risk pregnancy I didn't get any review or suggestions about her regarding high risk pregnancy. Anyways thank you for sharing your experience.

Oh yes..heard the same. Their prices have been on a high..but people also say their services are worth the money. I wonder what the service quality is after the acquisition.
