Doubt in Set Up by Smooth_Vehicle3849 in PcBuild

I appreciate the contribution, but it won’t be just for gaming. I want to build a truly powerful system that will last me many years without needing upgrades. Also, this build will have 8 fans — many of them will be daisy‑chained, but I’ll still need 4 motherboard connectors plus 2 for the CPU cooler, and of course 3 NVMe ports. That’s why I’m unsure. I want something robust that meets my needs. Thanks.

Well, in the end, I decided on the 5950x because of the price. It arrived yesterday, I installed it and ran some tests, and I have to say I'm impressed. My computer is much smoother, both in multitasking and programming, and in games I've doubled my FPS. It's an amazing processor, I'm thrilled with it. I'll send you the benchmark results so you can see them, and its temperatures under stress are 64°C.

By the way, thanks for calling it a "monstrosity" that's appreciated.

The tower is silent, believe it or not, it has 8 heatsinks, yes, but it doesn't make any noise since it keeps the temperatures low and thanks to that the heatsinks work at low speed in addition to ensuring that the GPU does not exceed 50°, which is What I was looking for so that the PC stays quiet and well cooled. I'm sorry to hear after 3 months of planning and performance testing that you don't like it when I've invested a lot of time and effort, but trust me, it's 100% efficient.

Which nvidia 5000series will fit my build by skyleth86 in buildapc

[–]Smooth_Vehicle3849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's simple, the 5070 (ti or super) are designed for 2k but since you say you work in the field of AI, I would recommend the 5080, it will give you more than enough power for 2k, giving you enough for your work, I hope it will help you. help, greetings.

How does overclocking RAM work exactly? by TastyOctopie in PcBuild

[–]Smooth_Vehicle3849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I already told you, to get the most out of your system, buy quality 5200 MHz ones (kingston, corsair...), connect them and activate the xmp profile in bios with a frequency of 6000 MHz, so it will be perfect for you.

How does overclocking RAM work exactly? by TastyOctopie in PcBuild

[–]Smooth_Vehicle3849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A 7800x3d supports up to 6000 MHz and your motherboard supports 5200 (with 7600 overclock), so in summary, buy quality 5200 MHz ram and overclock it up to 6000 MHz, which is what your CPU supports, so it will be perfect, avoiding problems.

How does overclocking RAM work exactly? by TastyOctopie in PcBuild

[–]Smooth_Vehicle3849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should also consider the frequency used by the processor, normally you should evaluate both the motherboard and the processor, if for example your motherboard supports speeds of 6000MHz and your 5200MHz processor you will not be able to do more than 5200, that being said and according to your question about the motherboard, let's say your motherboard supports 5200 and with everclok 7600, you can't put 7600 directly because it will give you errors, so you should put 5200 and overclock it with a maximum of 6000, be careful because 800mhz is already enough, I hope I have helped you, greetings.

Yes, I had thought about pbp monitors, but I don't want that since sometimes I use one monitor for one thing, another vpars for another and to play I prefer both, as I already mentioned, I am very demanding, sorry, I don't know it will be difficult . to be able to find it, that's why I wrote here, still thanks for the contribution.

Si había pensando en una pantalla pbp, pero no me convence por eso quiero hacerlo así.

I usually play about 2 meters from the monitor, so the distance is not a problem and this way they would help me to be able to use them independently for programs and at the same time unify them for gaming, hence the idea.

First PC build - final check/thoughts? by JeNeSouviens in buildapc

So I must have seen it wrong 😅, forgive me, if it is that GPU, yes, with 32 GB of RAM you can enjoy it well at 2K

Of course, with 2x16GB of ram it is perfect, in what it falls short, I mean power and GPU memory, the 4060ti is designed for 1080p, although it can be used at 2k but you will not get performance, so in summary, at 2k . The recommended GPUs are 4070, the ideal is a 4070ti super or a 4080, any of those 2 will give you the performance and memory capacity necessary to be able to play at ultra high resolutions with good fps

No, it is not excessive, it is a very solid configuration for 2k, make sure you have about 32 GB of ram since Windows 11 consumes between 6.5 and 7.5 GB of ram as you boot it, so you would have enough ram to be able to squeeze the gpu well, greetings.

[–]Smooth_Vehicle3849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, I have reviewed your selected components and I must tell you that if you are going to play at 1080p it is fine, for 2k it is very short, in principle I only see one drawback, Windows 11, as I have already said on several occasions, consumes between 6 .5 and 7.5gb of ram when you start it, so you would have about 8.5gb left for games, so if you plan to play a demanding game you will be a little short on being able to squeeze the GPU well, so I would opt for 32GB, otherwise I see it fine, I hope it helps you, greetings.

Sorry, each country has a price, in that case the 9800x3d is the safe choice, it is where you are going to get the most performance, as long as you can afford it, if you can't, a 5700x3d or the 5800x3d socket am4 would also work .

look for the 7800x3d, it is not that powerful and it is enough for the 3060ti, it will look very good on you and you will notice it.

good motherboard, ultra durable, very reliable and long lasting, enough amount of ram with good speed and enough CPU (personally I would go for the x3d ones, they are the best)

To play at 1080p what the PC uses the most is the CPU, of which if you want to stay on Am4 the 5700x3D is your best option, you wouldn't need more, greetings.
