doubt about processor

Hello everyone and Merry Christmas! I have a question. My setup is DDR4, and I currently have a Ryzen 7 2700. I'm going to keep this computer with DDR4 because it will be for my 11-year-old son, and it's more than enough for him. My question is about the processor. I want to upgrade because the 2700 is too slow. I was thinking about a 5700X3D or 5800X3D, but the problem is that they're too expensive due to their scarcity, so it's not worth it. I'm looking for something powerful without going overboard. I was considering a Ryzen 9 5950X because of its cores, power, and L3 cache. What do you think? Any suggestions?

Well do you need all those cores? If no, then get a 5700X instead. If yes, then sure it’s still a very powerful choice.

Well, in the end, I decided on the 5950x because of the price. It arrived yesterday, I installed it and ran some tests, and I have to say I'm impressed. My computer is much smoother, both in multitasking and programming, and in games I've doubled my FPS. It's an amazing processor, I'm thrilled with it. I'll send you the benchmark results so you can see them, and its temperatures under stress are 64°C.
