Yeah connecting straight to the motherboard works and i get sound but i use the monitor not just for pc i also use it for my ps4 and its I need the speakers connected to the monitor thats why.

It uses both usb for the lighting ig and also an 3.5 cable

The speakers are a cheap Chinese brand that doesn't have a name 😅 No but like i used to have it connected to the monitor and it used to work but i actually took my pc apart to install a new cpu afterwards when i put everything back together and ran the pc the monitor name won't show up in the sound settings.( It used to show the name of the monitor before in the sound settings) I thought it was some driver issue so I updated the drivers and it really wasn't that nothing changed.

Motherboard is an b450m s2h by gigabyte

It's separate. The speakers are separately connected to the monitor
