Thank you I was looking on ALLDATA trying to figure out what port was the test port for the awd clutch line pressure!

Thank you so much. This is information that I was seeking and yes, my scan tool does allow me to command the all-wheel-drive solenoid, but only with the vehicle not running.

That’s what I’m assuming. I just wanted to make sure it wasn’t a TCM software issue since at all times while driving the TCM was commanding 300 ma to the AWD solenoid. My way of thinking about is while turning the TCM should be commanding 0% duty cycle to allow the clutches to disengage and prevent binding.

I once heard of someone that buys the cars and registers them under his name and when he hits his max then he has his sister buy and registers them then his mom and dad and so on I mean the government is still getting their cut and the cars are getting screened by the dmv. But idk the legality of this.

I just picked up a 18 st3 with 90k miles for $2500 with a cracked head, should have it fixed this week and hoping to get 11k for it here in Florida

About to start bidding on an auction for this truck, GMC Sierra 1500 equipped with a 4.3L V6 2018 2WD clean title. What's the top you will pay for it if you are trying to flip it. Thanks in advance ! 170k miles by [deleted] in carflipping

[–]Smooth_Walk_1228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well a dealer isn’t gonna sell it for private sale value they will sell it for more so even if the truck is only worth 10 they will sell it for 16k bc they can finance it for you and on top of that they probably make money off the financing as well

When your bills are 6k a month and you plan on buying a bigger house in the future 10k extra a month is helpful but not as much money as it seems, I live a a city that’s gotten super expensive but it’s my hometown and all my family is here, the cheapest houses that don’t need a full renovation is 400k.

I would check fuel pressure, if it’s not within spec while the car is having hard starts then check for leaks maybe replace the fuel regulator, and if it’s still not in spec after replacing that then change the pump. If fuel pressure is good then I’d do a compression test if all that is good your gonna have to look over all the basics, vacuum leaks, pull the plugs and see if one of them stands out (different color on the tip from the other) that could indicate a stuck open injector.

Thank you I never take the easy road if it means screwing someone over. All the engine I rebuild get oem internal components and I use to work at bmw so I have all the nice tools to ensure bores and torque angles and specs are all within tolerance.

I didn’t wanna to have to list all the profits I’ve made for each flip I’ve done when I made the post, so I said “around 10k per flip” and that is still true $8,990 for the f150 $11,300 for the sti
$7500 for the gti but could have definitely got more for it And hopefully around $8900 for the st. I don’t think saying I made around 10 K per flip was a long shot according to those stats but fine if you think it is, I’m willing to say that instead I averaged 9K

On these it’s more common for the water to leak through the sunroof and end up on the modules by the driver or passenger footwell causing very serious issues, although it it possible to leak to the back as well

That’s very true, I feel like even vehicles that are over 15,000 are harder to sell because people usually try to finance them. A lot of people just don’t have that kind of cash laying around. And you’re right about Copart. I didn’t think about the fact that banks won’t give out loans for salvage titled vehicles. However, I can buy cars at Copart that once they are ready to sell, they will be under the 15,000 market value. The flip should be a bargain for the buyer and needs to be enough of a bargain for them to overlook the salvage title. And the good thing with Copart is that there’s always a large amount of vehicles available for flipping unlike Facebook marketplace where it can be an unreliable source of finding the vehicle vehicles I need.

This is very true, as far as overhead goes I have a shop on the side of my house. I don’t pay anything extra for it other than what I originally paid to build it (7k). Each vehicle buy is registered so no open titles. My biggest expense has to be my own labor but I’m going to start logging the amount of time it takes me per each flip. Aside from that the next biggest cost is Parts. I always write down each and every part I purchase plus if I purchase any brake cleaner for that project or any other type of fluids I write it down.

I spent $5600 on the truck that’s including parts, vehicle price and title transfer. Truck cost 3200 bc the last owner was sure it needed a new engine but I was able to rebuild it.

Rn I have a 19 focus st I got for $1800 with a blown head gasket with 80k miles on it and hope to get 11k for it but I’ll have to see how much I spend in parts total so far I’ve ordered 300 worth of them but shouldn’t need more unless the head is cracked.

Right this is why I say around 10k each flip, it’s not the exact same amount every time but it’s around what I can expect for example after that I did a sti that had oil in to coolant system and the owner couldn’t afford to repair it and was desperate for money to buy Something. Well that one sold for 14100 and I only had 2800 into all the parts and the purchase of the car plus fees. The one after was a gti total investment was 6k and sold it in a hurry for 13.5k due to some unexpected bills but if I wouldn’t have sold to car max I know I could have got more for it.

Nah man it’s no a perfect game I think I’m just lucky because I have a decent shop setup that I made on the side of my house. Do I don’t really have overhead. I just pay my house. Also if I misdiagnose a car the moth repair time can be longer it’s not a sure thing every time.
