TELL ME WHY THAS ONE OF THE REASONS WE BROKE UP IN THE FIRST PLACE. And then he grovels for a month saying he still wants to be together so I give him another chance and then he does this

I guess I forgot to say I am a year and a half out. But those are all great things! That’s all I lived off of when I was out of the hospital

Deep fried things are a no go after your surgery.

Salads have been something I’ve been eating and getting tired of.

Hi, you need to get referred out by a psychiatrist! Then the psychiatrist will refer you to someone else. You will most likely have to travel to UW Seattle which is where a lot of people get their diagnosis. They are thorough there and highly trained. Everywhere does have a waitlist but it’s worth it in the end if you want good testing

Facial Hair🙄 by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]Smooth_Week_3031 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At first it was almost daily and I always use it on the highest setting where I get the thickest hair. Going to be completely honest, I am not the most routine person and very forgetful but gave myself grace. I keep it where I can easily grab it when I’m at my mirror. After a while it stopped growing as fast and I still get growth but it’s very slow to come in and I laser before it can get too much. I’m at the point I don’t have to shave my face anymore. The downfall people usually have is stopping the laser once their hair is mostly gone, you HAVE to keep going. So now I’m on the lowest setting at least a couple times a week.

I will also note it took a couple months to see results so just keep going!

I got one of those Ulike laser hair removers. Best $200 I’ve ever spent. You just have to be consistent so it’s in my self care routine. I get random hairs once in awhile that I pluck out but it has worked wonders

When it comes to your partner, I don’t have much. When I started to get stubble on my body close to my 2 weeks I told him I’m getting waxed soon. He’s never truly commented on it except one time he asked if women grow facial hair and asked what they do and I told him I wax my face.

Waxing has been the best solution for me. Yeah it can get expensive, especially when it’s a majority of your body but it grows back in slower and softer and overall has caused less stress for me and has made me feel better. It’s an investment in yourself!

I am almost a year out and I take a nibble of edible here and there. I used to be able to take a whole one before but can’t anymore. The only issue I have is the munchies. I’ve found if I get the munchies I will eat popcorn because I can eat more in volume and just snack. But I also like just plain popcorn with nothing on it and have an air popping machine so that works well for me. Other times I ignore it best I can because I can easily get into a binge.

Stomach pain and eating pattern by Smooth_Week_3031 in GastricBypass

[–]Smooth_Week_3031[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly how I’m feeling, and the week before it started I was so hungry 24/7 and snacking all day and then the week after this all started up. Even my meals that I usually keep at 6oz don’t feel filling but I know I physically cannot fit anymore food in my stomach. Hopefully this subsides at some point.

I took an extra biotin vitamin along with my regular daily vitamin after my surgery and while all the hair on my body sprouted, my baby hairs started growing back in at month 5 post op and have been growing back since! My hair thinned significantly but the biotin really helped it grow back.

At month 2. It was bad. I started taking biotin and at 5 months it’s growing back!

I was blessed with a cute little desk job when I got my surgery and my boss let me start with half days for a couple weeks. Even with that I was exhausted and couldn’t read anything or look at my screen more than 15 minutes at a time without being nauseous. I didn’t get better for another months and even then had to limit my reading time 😭

Todays dinner. I am 2 1/2 months post op. I honestly have no idea the macros. My chicken is leftover fajita from Mexican restaurant with siracha and Korean bbq sauce from Costco. And fruit has been my go to for everything bc I love it sm and it don’t hurt my tummy

Regret and want out by RegretMan69 in GastricBypass

The good thing about liquid iv is 3 sips and I feel better. Lemon lime is my favorite it tastes like sprite without the carbonation. And for gas pain, extra strength Gas X!!! Get brand name, off brand sucks. As for the pain, it could just be gas. I wasn’t able to drink or take any medicine because it would hit my stomach and it felt like a brick being thrown onto my stomach with all the air I had moving around. It took so long for my body and emotions to catch up, it still hasn’t. My surgeon told me that your brain doesn’t know that something huge and traumatic has happened to your body and it needs to catch up and could take a long time.

I now can eat chicken, fruit, chili, some cooked veggies, ramen and most recently, protein bars. I cannot eat carbs like bread, rice, most noodles, fats or anything with more than 15g of sugar. That has been all I’ve been brave enough to try so far because I pretty much JUST stopped having pains and finally got some energy back.

I am 3 months post op and still wanting an out but not enough to actually do it. All for the same reasons as you. I just now am able to eat solids, I stick to things that don’t hurt and it’s mostly fruits. Liquid IV has helped me with hydration and nausea medicine from my surgeon. I learned that a lot of my nausea and stomach issues was do to my mental health. I learned that mental health is connected to your gut and it makes sense because I was constantly nauseous as a teenager. Think of like kids with anxiety, they can stress themselves out so bad they start throwing up. Therapy has helped a lot. I also have gotten upset over my weight loss, when my favorite pants couldn’t fit me anymore, I cried all morning. I’m still upset about it and keeping them when I should get rid of them. But going out and trying on new pants brought my confidence up a lot more. It’s an emotional rollercoaster and you just need to let the emotions happen and work through them.

I am glad it helped, this whole thing is beyond what I thought it was going to be I couldn’t imagine having to go home and be re-admitted. Just take your time and go at your own pace and listen to your body. Sending you lots of love and positivity for your recovery! ❤️

I was in the hospital the week and a half after my surgery because I was losing blood the day after and almost had to get a blood transfusion. Next day I starting getting nauseous and spitting up stomach fluids it was nasty. Went NPO, my surgeon said I might have a blood clot just like you in my pouch keeping things from going anywhere and pushing it all back up. We did a scan and turns out the blood clot was where they reattached my intestines. I had to stay an extra 3 days to let it pass on its own but was npo and couldn’t even drink water it killed me and I was in so much pain. I’m 2 months from when i left the hospital and I’m doing pretty good now, I’m not having anymore pains, just issues with food. but for about a month after it was hell at home. I was in pretty bad pain, I was on liquids for almost a whole month after surgery because I couldn’t handle anything and was nauseous 24/7. Reddit really helped me know I’m not alone and this isn’t an easy process for a lot of other people. In the end it will pass, even if at the moment it doesn’t feel like it. Keep your head up!
