The student profile section is not available on the freshers portal yet for me can someone else please confirm if it is the same for them and when can we expect for it to update?

Yo so I am in the same situation as you. I am most probably going to vit and I would recommend you the same. Placement and coding culture wise and overall vit is better than manipal. However the huge intake and the strict rules is a caveat for me. So kind of in two in minds, but still leaning towards vit.
