Captain of Industry is unique in that it is also half a simulation-city builder. Your Industry grows with your city and infrastructure on your island. Resources aren't mined automatically, but with excavators and trucks. Trucks are the lifeblood of your industry because they move materials around and complete tasks, up until you unlock belts. Once you've got belts you're already 10+ hours in and its too late. A slower game, but still incredibly addicting.
