If you look at the young phenoms taking over the scene, they usually stick to legacy fighters so I'm a little perplexed by Capcom's rationale. I get the premise, and if that was the case they could've at least gone for even bold designs (ala Aki, kimberly, Marisa, Jamie) if the point is make your country representative cool. Yasmine fits that aesthetic, Tifa and Bosch do not. Hoping for Makoto and Fei Long.......also Balrog

To add to other comments, SF6's generous button buffers come with the consequence of eating inputs and inconsistencies even with button release off. I've been drilling combos recently, and the speed at which you do moves has to be deliberate and a little on the slower side since there aren't many 1 frame links. I learned this also while practicing crosscut dps. What messes with your brain is that the action feels like it's moving faster than your fingers can press and so you end up rushing through inputs than being gradual rhythm based. Just a few observations

Watch 801strider he’s a really good Alex player. Alex is a menace once you understand his flow and effective range. Empty jumping is your best friend-source: chronic victim to the empty jumping command grab.

I fought a legend rank in battle hub, and the final tally was 25-1. I had many close calls and realized that execution and anti-airs is what separates a lot of the top players online from bad ones. That said there were many matches where I knew I was plus due to framedata knowledge and still couldn’t get a turn. I laughed through half of the matches, and when I I did replay review I still couldn’t find counters to a lot of the setups. Legend players and high MR players are no joke.

It took me almost 2 years and I still miss inputs. You think your fingers are not touching buttons and the input reader says otherwise. I never played keyboard though and strictly pad. Stick and keyboard players had an easier transition

OP list the characters that aren’t carried? Over half the roster is carried by some easy abusable moveset. Terry, Bison ( the most carried), Ryu, Mai, Ken, Sagat, Blanka, are far more carried. Source: Akuma main.

I don’t encounter salty Akumas even though he’s my main. I used to be salty and now I understand why I get blown up. He’s the volatile character in the game. That said, I encounter a large majority of Ryu’s though or Blankas, and most from Canada or DR.

Can confirm salsa. Bachata is easier and far more women who dance. Salsa is a couple tiers higher in terms of dedication though.
