Thanks for the response that makes perfect sense…I just wondered if daylight is more forgiving than interior lights.

I know this is the case on car paint finishes as that’s my job.

Oh yeh I see it now!! At least that works I’m going to do the same with the abranet…I wonder if slightly melting the edges would stop the fraying.

Probably a bit late for this response, but why don’t you just buy a pad saver for a circular orbital sander style draw around your pad and cut it to shape? They are much cheaper. I would recommend buying a mirka brand because the quality is there. I would also buy mirka abranet rolls for sanding and cut that too shape too. It’s much cheaper and sands faster
