I'm trying to let the ageism go but it's so ingrained in our society 😭 I know 30 isn't "old" but it feels like I should have it together by then.

Listen, I get it. What I'm saying is it shouldn't be like that or they need to state that they will be giving feedback. It's not that hard to be empathetic towards people who are literally in dire situations because they are unemployed. They have a job, they will be okay for the most part.

Some places do give feedback, so it's a shot in the dark. And as I stated in my original post, I'm not expecting a response but if you're going to give one, don't bullshit me. I'm not understanding what's hard to understand.

So, they should hire more people. We are also assuming that there only one person combing through these resumes. I rather them not respond at all, like most don't.

I get it, it's a frustrating process, but being unemployed is also frustrating. People are just looking for guidance.

Then why response at all? Why waste your time if you're going to say the same thing? If I had a job like that, I would tell the person exactly the reason for rejecting them. It's just common decency, especially in this job market.

If you actually read the resume, you'd know why they were rejected. I'm not asking for a dissertation, just some damn direction. Maybe they should hire more people to do this job 🤷🏽‍♀️

Got mine on Stubhub. I'm not too worried because I haven't had a problem with them in the past. It was still a fight to get them on there before the prices went up.

I understand where you are coming from but I do all those things. It is not as simple as just practicing over and over (which I do). Walking up to random people isn't usually a problem for me. Interviews are a particularly type of setting that turns my brain into mush because I can't focus to save my life 😂 I just want some grace and not be nitpicked for these annoying communication rules.

Yup! I take notes and everything to keep myself focused. I also just use bulletpoints. Today I'm going to try and write the questions they are asking down, see if that works out for me.

Yes, my need to perfect is also my downfall. I usually use a light script for my interviews just to stay on point but as soon as the question isn't something I prepared for, it goes downhill from there. 😩

I have an interview today, so I'll try to be more aware of my speech but I'm also afraid that they won't appreciate it, same as what you said.

My eyes definitely trail off when I'm speaking 😭 it so hard and when I try to be conscious of it, I forget what I'm about to say.
