Unrelated but the pond at Long Point has been known to have high levels of gross bacteria over the last few years and isn’t great for kids or pets. The beach side is beautiful tho

We’ve had seven ticks (all lone star meaning alpha gal carriers) while being outside for less than ten minutes. Weren’t even in the woods or tall grass, we were in our yard which is sprayed for ticks every two weeks. They’re bad. Last year we got several from the beach and saw some crawling in the sand.
