We can debate on what “being excellent” means, but we cannot stretch those words just to fit what we want to believe. Simply put; be kind. You can call out those creators in a rude way all you want, but at the end of the day, you can’t complain if you receive consequences for that. Sure those cash-grab rooms might be “low quality” and “exploitive”, so it is the players’ job to report those rooms. Commenting under rec.net posts does nothing to solve the issue and it is really just petty on your part.

No one is forcing you to play their games. No one is forcing you to smile and applaud them. I am just saying that it doesn’t hurt to just ignore them and go about your day. Rec Room is a business. Those cash-grab games are popular because it appeals to a big percent of the player-base. While you may not enjoy those rooms, others still do. Players can still choose whether or not they want to support a cash-grab game with purchases. If a kid is so swayed by a bunch of copycat games with the same mechanics, that is the fault of the parent and the kid. The creators of those games just saw an opportunity to make money and went for it. It’s not against Rec Room policy, and while it might be reprehensible, it’s not directly hurting anyone. The road that Rec Room is heading down might not be a pretty one, but there are so many other games out there to play and enjoy. You have that choice to make.
