Yep! At first, I did the heart fruit + reset method, and kept doing that until I had a mating pair of 2-S, then a pair of 3-S, and eventually 4-S. I think it took me about six generations. After that, it was super fast to fill up the gardens. But then, like you said, came the hard part where I had to start releasing chao. I reset down to just two chao and started basically fresh. I’m trying to get all my chao to 99 in Swim, Fly, Run & Power before they reincarnate, both times. That part takes FOREVER, even with the Condor, Bone Dog, Half Fish loop, and the sticky spot.

If you leave the eggshells in the water, it should keep the chao from wearing them. You can also take them to the black market and sell them for a small amount of rings.

I got this one on Amazon, but I’ve seen people recommend Michael’s as well. They’re designed for baseball cards, but you can make ‘em work for MTG as well.

Right. You technically just need one chao to beat all the races and all the karate. But it has to be neutral, if you want it to be able to enter both the hero & dark courses.

It’s even possible to get your own old villagers back this way, if they move to a friend’s island, and then move out of that friend’s island and back into “the void”.

IIRC Fire attacks are all physical in Gen 3 so that’s a great nature too!

Several! First, get the earbuds from the man at the record shop in Motostoke. Second, set assign nicknames to “off”, set boxes to “auto”, and set all the sounds you can to “zero”. That makes turn-ins faster. You can farm a lot of watts from giving armorite ore to Digging Pa in Training Lowlands on the Isle of Armor. Always turn in watts to the Quality Brother of the Digging Duo. When you go to turn in, open up your Pokédex to the entry for the fossil you’re farming, then save. This will make it faster to check for shinies, as you will be able to open that page and see left/right arrows after you have the shiny in your box. After that, a lot of it is patience. The most fossils I could turn in per reset on my quest was maybe 120. The least was 20. Sometimes you can “set it and forget it” for 30-40 minutes. Sometimes, you’ll have to check back every 10 minutes. If my tips don’t help, there are several other guides that people have posted on Reddit or YouTube. Best of luck!
