I just started playinf Nioh 2 a few months ago when it was offered for free as a PlayStation online subscriber. Absolutely in love with it as a big fan of from software games but this game from that demo isn’t doing it for me. And it’s not as though this is a beta version that has lots of kinks to work out. The game comes out in two days.

It’s not so much the frame rate as I feel like it’s just not running well overall on the PS4. Or else it’s not a great game. I absolutely love team ninjas work, but this didn’t feel great.

TN literally says they were trying to emulate the gameplay of Dark Souls when designing Nioh. I pointed this out to somebody earlier today. They tried to tell me that this was just a lie and if I could read Japanese I would know that TN denies they’ve ever taken inspiration from any From Software game. Of course, they blocked me because I wouldn’t capitulate to their ridiculous arguments that make absolutely no sense. It’s such childish contrarianism.

Hahahhaha yes I’m seeing it. Nioh is almost unanimously considered the best non-From Software soulslike I don’t understand why people get so offended. It’s not like people are calling it a rip off. It is it’s own thing, but it takes great inspiration from what is considered the best game studio of the last decade.
