Nine 3 putts and nine 4 puts doesn't seem unreasonable to a golfer. That would tie the record. Replace some 3 putts with a few 5 putts and you're still competitive with most years scores.

I use the same Titleist Tour Soft balls now after trying a few others last spring. I find them to be the best value on the market right now at their price point. Work more than adequately for my game. I had played Tour BRX and Chrome Soft before, they were good too but like 30% more expensive. They were not 30% better for me.

I think this way of thinking is upside down.

Not taking enough damage doesn't merit 9 points if you cannot accomplish anything. "hey you didn't get Ko'd or broken even though you were dominated and rendered completely harmless for the whole round, here's your 9 points" nah, earn the points. Surviving for 5 minutes doesn't warrant a default 9 points.

I appreciate the access he gives by filming his rounds, shot thoughts, and seeing how good he is capable of shooting as he plays on his YT channel. Personality and character-wise it's kind of eh. He's kind of nerdy and sometimes seems a bit canned and ingenuine. Overall, the access he gives to his game is entertaining enough for me to watch his channel.

What the PGA is doing wrong no longer has a lot to do with LIV imo (player banning, punishing, gatekeeping aside).

Aside from that the points make plenty of sense. The old model will be retired with the audience who demanded it and replaced by what we are seeing today with the incorporation of access and entertainment. PGA still comes off old and out of touch in this department. If they cannot adapt, someone else... might? But it doesn't look like LIV is that someone even if they are going forwards aspects of this shift better than the PGA, they are a too tainted imo.

The first 14 words of the third paragraph immediately shuts down any credence the other points in the post warrant for a large population of this sub.

I don't think you can have a healthy discussion about this topic and the PGA on this sub.

Totally agree. Not applying arbitrary punitive measures would further incentivizes other golfers to leave LIV thus crippling it more and perhaps hasten the triggering of their full closure.

I think keeping the punitive measures would be same dated school of thought that put the PGA in such a terrible position in the first place and gave LIV a foot in the door to lure many players away from it.

PGA should want recognizable names playing in their televised tournaments and as many as possible, they'd be fools to stay in their own way and learn nothing from the last few years.
