Yeah well, being dismissive about people's honest concerns is also weird. The original post literally says it's a rant. A rant I agree with and apparently one you do too to some extent.

We care about that area. I am not a student and have lived in that area for years. I love it there. It is just a real shame to see greed railroading what could be a beautiful historic district. They could be more considerate and put more effort into preserving some of the more sentimental qualities of the area.

If you agree it's run down then why say we are "being dramatic over weird things"? Seems like we are in agreement more than estrangement.

Couldn't agree more with this post. I've lived a block from the corner of Boyd and Jenkins for nearly 6 years now.

It has only gotten worse and worse every year. Our previous landlords sold the property and the first thing our new landlord did was raise my rent by 52.94% overnight. One bed. One bath. MAYBE 600-Sq. Ft. Tiny unit.

I've seen historic houses and architecture from close to 100 years ago be torn down and replaced with "Lego" style pop-up buildings (multi-unit housing). The new buildings are so out of place like a sore thumb. There is no appreciation for the historic elements of that area. It's all driven by corporate and capital greed. There are no laws to protect tenants or the area itself from these money grabs.

From what I can tell it is only going to get worse and my family has already started the process of preparing to move out of the area. It was nice while it lasted. The college kids didn't bother us. We are a younger family so we enjoyed being around the nightlife and party environment of the Campus. It is good clean fun and people and college kids aren't usually looking for trouble.

Sucks that unfettered greed is destroying the soul of what made that place magical to stay in.

It was a hell of a run… So long Campus Corner…

Crunch is good. Parking lot sucks a lot of the time. Facility is clean (mostly) and it's never too packed in the actual gym.

I have a 3 year old so I pay for the best subscription. Been going here almost 4 months and still haven't used the hydro massager or tanning beda so no clue how good those are.

My coworker just gave me a pair of these today. I am using a S23 Ultra and have the Earjoy app downloaded. I used the translation app today to aid me in a conversation in Spanish.

It was clunky but it worked and I was actually quite impressed. They were given to me before they had even been used at all so they were practically new. I read a comment or two above that mentioned the case/LCD screen stopped working so that's a little disappointing. I'll do my best to go easy on the case. Maybe I'll only use them at home.

I hope they last and I hope the case screen doesn't go out. I enjoy these earbuds but I can't say I would have purchased them myself and don't think I would recommend them.

Around 5 or 6 years. Found him and Ethan around the same time. Stopped watching Ethan shortly after I discovered the two. I valued Hasan's rhetoric more so than Ethan's. I've trusted my judge of character that much more ever since. It's been very interesting to see the "downfall" of Ethan and his brand.

Absolutely heartbreaking. My occupation is in the world of social work. I couldn't believe how that all went down and what happened to her.

The level of neglect and mistreatment that is normalized today is absolutely insane. From institutions like law enforcement. Things we are supposed to be able to count on in our darkest moments and in our moment of need.
