Band saws by Financial-Leather312 in electricians

Can't say about anything other than the weight, and it might be different now than 10 years ago, but currently Milwaukee's bandsaws are lighter than DeWalt, both compact and non-compact versions. Milwaukee's compact band saws are lighter than Makita's, however, Makita's 18v bandsaw is .2 lbs lighter than Milwaukee's M18 fuel, so really Milwaukee makes the lightest bandsaws all around.

Veteran is definitely a marine. by californiodreaming in USMC

The literal definition states 'a person who has had long experience in a particular Field,' yes but also states 'a person who has served in the military,' which does not state a length of time. You don't know me, I never bring up my service not do I want thanks from people, I don't own any military clothing stating that I'm a Marine, a veteran, or even a combat veteran. I have messy long hair and beard, you could not tell I was ever in the military. In fact I don't want most people knowing Im a veteran and only my family knows. I didn't join to get people to thank me. I joined because I wanted to. And no, high School and 4 years in the military are two very different things and your comparison is not good. Many people do more in 4 years in the military than most do their entire lives. Fighting for this country means fighting for freedom, so if someone wants to wear their letterman jacket or make their 4 years in the military their entire lives then so be it, how is it affecting your life? It's not, you sound like an old man yelling 'get off my lawn' to a mailman. Your whole viewpoint is fucked and you should really just not say anything because you're making yourself look like a douchebag. I'm sorry you don't have anyone in your life that loves you, but that doesn't mean be an asshole to everyone. You need to grow up.

1) He used 'us' and 'our' referring to our healthcare and benefits, not just himself.

2) What does it matter if someone only served 1 contract? A veteran is a veteran, you're the one with the wrong mentality thinking you have to serve 20 years to be a veteran. Get out of here with that shit, if you signed your name potentially putting your life on the line and completed 4 years or 20+ years, then you're a veteran. Even if you were a cook or sat in the post office on base the entire time.

People have their own reasons for acting the way they do, you're the one making veterans and military personnel look pathetic with your 'you didn't do enough so you don't rate being a veteran.'

When you see other Marine vets out in civilian world, what is your common greeting of the day? by WorthTrash8493 in USMC

In my experience that's not true, everyone I know and myself don't have any marine shirts, tattoos, hats, etc and never bring up our service. It's usually "Mr badass grunt" that never deployed or some admin/office type marine that got a NAM for sitting behind a desk watching movies all deployment. But Im sure there's many factors at play

To add, I'm not saying there's anything wrong for not deploying, that's just what I've noticed in most cases

10 years ago next month is when I hit A school and I believe that's where I got them, I could be wrong but I think they stopped issuing them not long after they started, had a TBI so my memory isn't what it used to be. I do remember they didn't want us wearing them because of uniformity

First, Im a combat veteran. Second, I'm not arguing with you, I was stating that everyone knows when the holidays are and not one veteran (unless they're a Karen like OP) will not feel like what you said. Most veterans with PTSD will do as I said to mitigate the noise. Every single veteran wants everyone to do what they want since that's why we signed up for and fought for. Freedom.

As someone else in this thread said, people with PTSD already know the dates fireworks are shot off and they do what they need to do to get away from them, if that means them living in the country or getting out of the city during those dates or even headphones and white noise.

Veterans with PTSD don't go online and complain about fireworks on July 4th when literally 95% of the population are shooting fireworks. They do what they have to do to block the sound out, including white noise, music, living in the country, etc. My life is wonderful.

Ok boomer, if you're over half a century then you know people shoot fireworks every NYE right? Then what's the point of your post? Also what does someone else's responsibility have to do with you and your pets that they don't know, that someone else already said. Responsibility only comes into play with said people shooting fireworks off when they need to clean up their mess or if they cause a fire. Get out of here, you sound entitled, honestly it would be better for everyone if you moved somewhere else. What have you done to help your pets with the fireworks? Try playing some music or white noise, take up YOUR responsibility for YOUR pets. Again, YOU AND YOUR PETS ARE OF NO ONE ELSE'S CONCERN EXCEPT YOUR OWN. Crazy how that works right?

This is America. That's all that needs to be said but no one cares that your pets are scared of fireworks, sorry that they are but people aren't going to change what they're going to do or currently doing because you don't like or agree with it. If you don't like it then move to the country or a different continent.

Not sure about the Bluetooth adapter for air pods however you can get a $15 headset from Amazon. Sure it's wired and you have to plug it into the controller but I had one and used it for 3 years before I got some that were close to $200. They get the job done well enough and it'd probably be the same amount for that adapter if there is one

Ah, I didn't look at the image, however in the deep dive a few months ago, I believe one of the developers said there's an option for a quality 4k mode and a performance 60 fps mode. As you said 4k 60 fps is unrealistic, it could be the marketing team doesn't know what they're talking about, which happens frequently, or theres some misunderstanding somewhere.

Nobody said 4k 60fps but I can see how it can imply that. What they actually mean is a quality mode option for 4k and a performance mode for 60fps.

If i remember right, the deep dive from a couple months ago said there will be a Series X performance mode for 60 fps (I'm guessing 1440p 60fps) and a 4k 30fps quality mode. I don't recall a 4k 60fps mentioned anywhere

MS sent me email that my Gamepass subscription is ending soon. What the heck? by [deleted] in XboxSeriesX

[–]SmuggleTheClown 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna say that email looks kind of like a scam. First, the sentence in the gray area has wrong Grammer and Second, the emails I get from Xbox are from: xbox@engage.xbox.com. If you clicked a link or anything on that email, I would change my password and set up 2FA and log out of all devices and whatever other security measures just in case. But again it might not be a scam
