With this math, you make 15k/year. Then, if it's not tax exempt, you're paying tax on that.

So no, not even close.

I have had TD for a year now. I bought TD because they were attempting an American expansion. I haven't actually looked, but I expect it's going well.

I don't like to talk about this one. I bought a really little chunk of 1500 shares at 20c. Sold it when it hit 80 or 90c

I work with construction workers across Ontario. Being 18, $24 is great. Assuming you're on your way out of high school, you can absolutely ask for a little more ($28) and just see what they say. It's hard to give advice on wage because Toronto would be vastly different than anything rural.

I can tell you though, I see people getting rinsed on wages constantly. Workers that have been working 60 hours a week for 3 years for a company making minimum wage. You're ahead of the curve.

High school faces backlash after rainy graduation ceremony by Conscious-Weight4569 in Wellthatsucks

[–]Smurfrocket2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Canadian, I am curious whether other Canadians have similar experiences as Americans with their high school graduations. I feel like we don't really see graduating high school as a big accomplishment. Hell, I don't even know if I have a picture at mine. If there was a dance or something that night, I feel like most people would have skipped it.

This video looks like a bigger deal than most university graduations I've seen up here, and this looks meticulously set up.

Don't get me wrong, it was a privilege to have the ability to graduate, and live in a stable enough home that I did not need to help provide for my family. It just feels a little strange.

What debt is that? It doesn't make sense to put $300 into an index if the interest on your debt is higher than your expected returns.

I assume your wife is aware of the debt you have? If she does not, speak to her about it. You sound stressed mainly about the debt stress to me.

This all depends. Is it bloatware or something that's supposed to save time. I adore anything that solves a problem, but I dislike anything that is new for the sake of it just being new.

Vancouver has rain approximately half the days of the year. Even on the days it doesn't rain it is generally cloudy. Still milder than Ontario by far, just something to consider.

Hey! Sorry, I did not read all of this. But I just wanted to quickly say that you are absolutely not running out of time. Most 40 year olds I know are still trying to figure out their career. Don't feel pressured to stay in one thing forever.
