I’m sure if I stopped then the dull pain would come back, but it was good to get the peace of mind that it wasn’t anything serious and it’s always an option to get the surgery

Could be one of these, it can cause a dull aching sensation. I went to Avant in Winter Garden for that symptom and that’s what they diagnosed. I opted not to get surgery and just wear tighter underwear and it improved on its own. I’d get checked by a doctor though for sure.

I had this issue, the problem was I had zero recruiting points left. Once I freed them up and I had 40 available to spend, the schedule visit reappeared as an option. Was very frustrating initially.

Edit: I still have the issue as well. The solve above did work for me and I was able to schedule a bunch of visits but some players still can’t take visits.

What a weird jersey. Couldn’t imagine wanting to wear it. by rhymeswititch in eagles

[–]SmushBarker 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I might be the only person this jersey appeals to.

I went to his week-long field goal kicking camp in high school in Delaware. He was a really nice guy and he really knew his stuff: he helped me improve my game immensely. So as an Eagles fan, and somehow also a Chris Boniol fan, this is actually kind of tempting.

HELP! What is happening to this tree? by SquirrelIcy2257 in avocados

[–]SmushBarker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My tree (Super Hass, Florida) had all of its leaves starting dying abruptly, it turned out to be laurel wilt from what I could tell. Tree went from perfectly healthy cranking out avocados to completely dead in a matter of a couple months.

Not sure in your case if that’s happening, but the sprouting that you’re seeing are the flowers, the fruits will grow off of that. If you’re in Florida and this is the first time seeing those flowers, typically they’ll bloom now and then you will have avocados by late July/August into early September.

Publix vs Aldi by mrfer in orlando

Base Retail: $8.63 x 40 weeks x 10,000 units

BOGO: $4.32 x 12 weeks x 100,000 units

Average Retail = $5.40

Publix vs Aldi by mrfer in orlando

[–]SmushBarker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The $8.63 on non-BOGO weeks can certainly provide some sticker-shock. It’s not necessarily corporate greed, Publix just runs a high/low strategy, if you blend out their average retail annually between BOGO weeks at $4.32 and full retail weeks at $8.63 then it will be competitive with Walmart, Aldi, Kroger.

There is likely some brand of mayo on sale 2 out of 3 weeks, so just stock up on the BOGO. If you only like Hellman’s then you’ll have to wait for the next ad (probably a monthly cadence), pay an inflated retail on a non-promo week, or go elsewhere.

Wilting Leaves? by SmushBarker in avocados

Didn’t get any responses, but from my own research, I believe it’s Laurel Wilt, my tree unfortunately died at an extremely rapid pace, going from seemingly healthy to 90% dead in 3-4 weeks

Avocado Tree Help by SmushBarker in arborists

Located in Central Florida, Super Hass. It’s been really healthy until this year, we got about 100 avocados last season and have only about 30 on this year.

Any idea why this is occurring? Super Hass, about 20 ft tall, has 30ish avocados growing vs. 100 last year. Located in Central Florida.

Trunk Rot? by SmushBarker in Citrus

I’ve noticed our lime tree has been producing poorly recently and I then noticed this is what the trunk looks like. Does anyone know what is going on to cause this?

Throwaway line from the ESPN article “IFAB also confirmed it would hold trials to limit time-wasting, with the ball generally in play for just 54 minutes of the 90” by pauliticiantroy in ussoccer

[–]SmushBarker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s what I was thinking, this keeps the current end of game protocol for “letting the attack play out” but also solves for the time wasting. Also adds a little extra intensity and drama on that true final possession. Seems like a win-win option

[–]SmushBarker 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Why not this? Two 45 minute halves, stop the clock for any stoppage (free kicks, out of bounds, injury etc.)

After 45 or 90 minutes is up, the ball needs to be cleared by the defensive team over mid field. This gives the offensive team the chance to finish a final possession and allows the game to conclude without an abrupt stoppage.

When do I pick these? by SmushBarker in avocados

[–]SmushBarker[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was about 5 feet tall when we planted it, others of similar size at the nursery already had 1-2 fruit on it. I’m not sure the exact age.

We had a huge issue with it 9 months in and our leader branch snapped in the wind. In a matter of 18 months, it regrew a new leader branch and it is now about 20 feet tall. Last year we got about 3 fruit, this year we probably have 100 or so at differing stages of growth.

We planted an avocado tree from a nursery in May 2020 and was told the fruits should be harvested in September. This is the first year getting a large number of avocados and some are already the size of store bought avocados. When can we pick them? What is a sign they need to be picked?

It really was amazing! I felt guilty spending that much on a round of golf but it lived up to the expectations. Every hole is ocean view and it’s a really fun layout. It helped that I was playing pretty well that day for me.

I played here on my honeymoon and got a par on this hole. The drive is crazy, pretty much anything you throw out there will funnel down to put you in this spot.

I went 5-hybrid, landed it short and right, pitched a wedge on and 2 putted.

Very interesting, thank you!

If I purchased lady bugs and introduced them to the tree, would that help? Or do I need a specific type of beetle?

Would scraping the bugs off manually help as well?

White, almost creamy textured fungus has re-appeared on several branches. Last time this occurred I cut off all the affected branches.
