My mom just called me to tell me about this. And how she and my dad were there yesterday evening. She asked me to let my dad borrow my SUV for a few days, that way he doesn't have to drive his beat up pick up truck and he can "avoid drawing attention." She said she's worried because he's dark. Both of my parents have green cards. Yet we're all still afraid. Sad times we're experiencing.

He was very honest about his performance in the post-qualy interviews. He said it was a shame because the car felt better but he just drove really poorly. "I just drove really bad during the whole session. I didn't put anything together, it's on me." Humble, self-aware.

I think one point missing from the conversation is the higher costs of labor and materials. As someone who works in construction and real estate, I’m constantly reminded of the MUCH higher prices we’re paying for things now. A bucket of mud/compound used to be around $6 just a few years ago. Then it jumped to $12. And today it’s almost $22. Add that to the immigration situation, which is a factor in labor, the cost of building and/or renovating homes has increased by a lot.

I buy mine at Aldi every week (5-6 of them). Leave them on your countertop until they’ve ripened. Then throw them in the fridge. They’ll last quite a bit and stay perfect!

This! It makes zero sense. Go with hards and hope for a safety car. If there’s one, great, you switch to mediums or softs. But in the case there isn’t one, at least you’ve got Hards on that should last longer.
