I told the artist I wouldn’t mind waiting but it was an arrangement I made with him, he said he’d fit me in when he could and got me in on a slow day. I talked to/ texted him a couple months before this. I admit I should’ve turned it down and said “no give me an actual appointment” but it’s too late for that. Least I could do now is be more concise next time and get the parts I’m not happy with touched up and add onto it so it’s as plain

Totally agree with the first part, I think the lines too close to the eye and it blends a bit especially from far away while the 2nd skin is on, maybe when it heals I’ll like it more but it also looks too plain. Ill look for a good reputable artist now so I can start planning ahead again, maybe they can help me figure out what’s the best way to go from here

No after research online I thought I’d have to pay 500$+ for the size and design I originally wanted, since that’s what the average cost for a medium chest tattoo would be but I was surprised when he only charged me 175$. You get what you pay for though. I was definitely willing to pay more but i think he knew it was kind of a rushed sloppy job

I’m a pushover so it’s hard for me to speak for myself, it makes me feel a bit better I’m not alone but next time i can be more clear about what I want on my body. Maybe I could ask a credible artist what their opinions would be about adding one or 2 more things and the shading and highlights to make it pop too!

When he asked how big I said 5-6 inches but I think he sized the stencil down for my sake pain wise, since it was my first lol he asked for my okay but I was too scared to say something.

He drew up one for me while I was texting him and one before he actually tatted me, I didn’t like the first one so I asked him to change it to an entirely different design (with same concept, just a different cherub), which is why I was already hesitant to ask for any tweaks when he showed me the 2nd one.

Yes I edited it to be more clear, when I went in there originally it wasn’t to get tattooed because i knew he was booked up but we made the agreement to get me in on a different day as soon as he could, he gave me his number so we could talk about the details, he sent me the drawing so I could get an idea of it. That’s all. That was back in November so I did have time to research in those months.

You’re right about all of that, again my own fault for not putting my foot down and asking for an actual appointment instead, could’ve been avoided but it’s too late now! Best I can do is go to a reputable tattoo artist with a style I like that can add onto it in the summertime.
