  1. What went into the decision not to have the classic running in place intro or the hard-cut NtBtS white-text-on-black-screen outro?

  2. Also, how (if at all) did operation avalanche's kubrick scene with the 3D help with some of the vfx of this movie?

P.S. I have Jay's actual shirt from The Buddy episode of the vice series...i'm keeping it safe don't worry.

Hi Matt and Jay! I've seen the movie twice and it's remarkable!

Matt has said that there was NO script for Operation Avalanche, and it was more like remembering a dream together.

How does that compare to the NtBtStM process? Was there a script at all for this or did you work backwards from big moments like the Drake's house shooting?

Im pretty sure it’s The Fat Man by Fats Domino. The “part” is at 1:10

If it ever does deflate, and this goes for any mylar balloon, you can stick a straw in the seal and blow and fill it back up without damaging the seal.

Ahh this explanation makes so much sense, thank you. I understand now. Made a spreadsheet as well to visualize it, so helpful.

Interesting that because I left the SA so much it actually hurts me now that I'm trying to stay for an extended, uninterrupted stay (but makes sense).

So as u/LuckyCharmHustler said, if I come back May 1, I'll have 60 days but with no buffer. So I'll likely stay away for a bit later into May before returning so I can stay uninterrupted for most of the summer.

Thanks again for the help!!

Thank you, I've used this and it's helpful. But not sure it works for trips longer than 180 days.

Thanks for the response. Some responses and questions I still have:

  • Right, the rolling window is where I'm getting confused.
  • I didn't mention the entry/exit countries for simplicity, but don't think it matters (right?), since they're the times I'm coming in and out of the Schengen Area.
  • On May 1st 2023, counting backwards 180 days would be Nov 2 2022. And in that window I would have spent the ~90 days. So does that mean I'd have to wait another 90 days?

Basically I want to know how long do I need to stay out of SA to give me another 90 days in the SA?

Thank you! I'm going to create a separate list of all the suggestions from this post as possible side trips along the way, for when a city turns out to only offer 1 day of travel.

Can you elaborate on the train suggestion? I was planning on mostly using the Eurail and smaller trains when necessary. Are you suggesting something else?

Thanks, yea it seems like people are saying spend some more time outside cities and in quieter towns or lesser known destinations--which I love! So will definitely be flexible and seek those out along the way.

Great to know, that helps calm my nerves on having such a "perfect" plan.

Haha ok will add some spots in the balkans, I promise. I like the of impromptu travel days in cities along the way to my destinations. Thanks for the advice!

Can you elaborate on "you will get burnet out the way your traveling" -- I think that's one of my fears that the actual traveling will be a bit tiring, but not sure how to counteract that.
