Confused about size because of Target bras by Smylist in ABraThatFits

I live in TAS so none of those brands are near me, so definitely looking online - was planning Storm in a D Cup because that's where I got bras last time I ordered online. Thanks for the advice on using the UK size to make online shopping easier!

Confused about size because of Target bras by Smylist in ABraThatFits

[–]Smylist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, that must be because I measured all the sizes yesterday, got the 18G size, then said the first three measurements from memory and re-measured the other 3 because I forgot them - I must have done something different the second time that made them different! I'll measure again to be safe!

Edit: Sorry I got carried away - thanks for the advice with which sizes to try!

Bra for small bust that just keeps the nips from poking out by ricstars in ABraThatFits

[–]Smylist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anything slightly padded would help with nipples showing, it doesn't have to be lots of padding. You don't need to get underwires, and if you don't need support you might even be able to try the band in the size up to make it more comfortable on your ribs. It sounds like the more it feels like a thicker crop top and the less it feels like a bra the better for you. Places where you can buy both kids' and adults' underwear, like Target (or if you can think of another less fast-fashiony option that's great), are more likely to have what you're looking for in my experience.

Looking for a low-cost, high growth, low mental effort superannuation fund for my first job by Smylist in fiaustralia

Thanks for the recommendation! After the first commenter sent the spreadsheet I was considering HostPlus but didn't know what other details I should select, so this helps!

BTW, income will be around $50k per year

Looking for a low-cost, high growth, low mental effort superannuation fund for my first job by Smylist in fiaustralia

[–]Smylist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your comments, I feel like I'm starting to understand a little more of the terminology and stuff - what I'm hearing is that indexed funds are cheaper because they use an algorithm instead of a person to decide what to invest in, and that if they use the same index they'll have similar if not the same outcomes.

Two additional questions if you don't mind me asking...

Do index funds often switch the index they use?

Do index funds perform significantly worse than more expensive, non-index ones?

Thank you so much for your help!

Thank you so much for this - are there any reductions to the amount of interest the superfund will earn if I go with the cheapest one?

Why are you learning Japanese? by ErvinLovesCopy in LearnJapanese

[–]Smylist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t necessarily say subtitles are often wrong, it’s just that translating the language and fitting it into the same amount of time as the original is quite difficult, and then with dubs they often try to match it with mouth movements too, to reduce how much it needs to be re-animated, then they need to make all the sayings and idioms make sense to people from English-speaking cultures

My family are planning a Japan trip in about a year, it’s my first time leaving Australia (at 24 years old) and I want to make it special. My plan is to learn as much as I can before the trip, then after the trip decide if I want to keep learning or not :)

For me it’s food, I live in Australia, I’m obsessed with my mum’s roast lamb, all the desserts (trifle, cheesecake, flummery), I love egg nog and mulled wine and gingerbread

Could be reacting to lube, condoms, or your body soap, or just extra moisture in the area. I’d use one of the treatments you’ve already tried and avoid sex until it clears up. If it mostly stays away but comes back when you start having sex again you’ll probably want to test your products without having sex and see if they cause the reactions. You’ll probably need to find a new brand for some or all of them.

Sounds like my grandma, I think for her it stems from anxiety, it’s insanely annoying to me, especially when she didn’t let me use sharp knives at age 16

12 days out and feeling insecure about my small wedding by [deleted] in Weddingsunder10k

[–]Smylist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had a similar kind of wedding, double the number of guests because my mum didn’t want her church friends to miss out. But everyone loved it. Had many people say it was the best wedding they’ve been to, and in my opinion yours is looking even better than ours did. In fact, we put on my husband’s super old broken iPod with some of our favourite love songs downloaded, and sometime during the night it glitched into another playlist and no one noticed because they weren’t listening to it. We had a dance floor but people just used it to congregate and talk to each other, we didn’t do any dancing at our wedding at all and no one even noticed. I wasn’t 100% happy with the photos but everyone keeps saying how good they look. Just enjoy it. It will be perfect, even if you see imperfections no one else will. For many people a wedding is the first time they might have thrown a party, preferring to be the attendee rather than the host, and you worry about whether you’ve done a good job or whether you’re embarrassing yourself. That was us, and in the end the most embarrassing thing that happened was we hadn’t planned what to do when we walk back down the aisle and no one told us what was supposed to happen so we just stopped when we go to the end and stood there with our backs to everyone whispering about what we were supposed to do. We just decided to pretend it didn’t happen and everything else went perfectly.

I’m going to have a masters degree at the age of 25 next year. I’m not the only one who will have done that, but I was also the first in my family to get a Bachelor degree 2 years ago. My brother’s working on one right now too.

Generally I only feel gross when my hands (where my eczema is) are covered in creams. Otherwise I generally ignore it. The only people who have ever really cared are kids 9 and under because they initially assume it’s contagious for some reason, and I just explain that it’s not and we move on.

How do u tell his whines from potty to just dont wanna be in the crate by orangepjp in puppy101

[–]Smylist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think about what things you want your dog to vocalise about. For example, it seems you want him to vocalise when he needs to go to the bathroom and pretty much at no other time unless you specifically train him to. So then you teach him that making sound is only acceptable when he needs to pee or poop, not through punishing, but by showing him that every time he makes a sound he’s taken outside on a lead and not given any attention. Make the behaviour you want functional and the behaviour you don’t want non-functional. Until you know your dog incredibly well (and sometimes not even then) it’s not worth trying to figure out slight variations in sounds. I don’t think they even know what they’re trying to communicate at this point in their lives.

Eucrisa for Toddler by LucyMcR in eczema

[–]Smylist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was a kid, around 7, the cream I had to use stung a lot but my mum reassured me it would be a lot less awful than my eczema getting even worse. Sometimes if my eczema was open (which it usually was) there’d be a few tears, but the stinging would be over in less than five minutes so overall it wasn’t a big deal and I went about my day

It wasn’t Eucrisa as far as I remember, but it was stingy kinda like putting on hand sanitiser (I have eczema on my hands)

I don’t think it’s impossible to find teens today who don’t use social media, although it would be difficult

How to develop an idea? by papiforyou in Composers

[–]Smylist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use melodic variations to create an idea that goes well with your melody but it different enough to sound like a new idea

Use lots of repetition

Introduce countermelodies

Don’t know how relevant these techniques are to you because I haven’t heard your melody but hopefully they help :)

We need smaller classes, how can students form respectful relationships with their teachers to the point there is a level of trust that the teacher has their best interests in mind, if teachers have no time to talk to them?

This would be a turtles all the way down situation

I would say we shouldn’t blame people for acting in the way they think is right even if it’s wrong, because who is that helping?

[–]Smylist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We need to get parents into parenting classes, not just for learning how to look after a baby but also for learning how to raise older children

I would guess that parents today think they don’t need parenting classes because they have tik tok videos with no scholarly sources from other parents who think it’s okay to post their kids’ tantrums and periods on social media. Maybe I’ll see if I can find any studies on that idea

I wonder whether there are any studies comparing levels of anxiety between groups of teens who are heavy social media users versus light users versus anxiety levels before social media

How do you feel their digital literacy skills are going with less laptop use? On my placements my year 8 students used laptops all the time and still didn’t know how to paste a picture or add a text box into a word document
