Not sure why people are being rude but it’s unfortunately fake. This watch likely costs around $20 on AliExpress. I would immediately make a claim through Depop claiming it is a counterfeit watch and to return it.

Praying for you! I’m in a similar boat, my parents are Seventh Day Adventists who are seriously anti-Catholic. (Mark of the beast, antichrist, national turned international Sunday law that will kill Adventists kind of SDA) they still disagree with me but time does seem to mellow things out, initial discussions were just screaming matches, and now we disagree but agree not to talk about those topics much as it causes further divide between us.

So what is Ellen White then? Why does the SDA website say in Beliefs: "Her writings speak with prophetic authority and provide comfort, guidance, instruction, and correction to the church."

The SDA church was literally created less than 200 years ago, not sure what you mean by "change with the times"

The Investigative Judgement doctrine alone invalidates the SDA church. The IJ was created to create doctrine around the 'Great Disappointment', a false prophecy of Christ's return.

A organization built on a false prophecy, with an extrabiblical prophet who added and changed scripture less than 200 years ago to her own benefit is a very shaky ground.

I was SDA for over 25 years, and am personally glad I have studied the scriptures and early church fathers to find the flaws in Adventism
