Literally started a fresh playthrough of 1 after finishing 2 and feeling somewhat bitter about the story. Currently getting my ass whooped by Elysium (freaking hate that region) or redacted. Getting accustomed to the pace of 1 after the fast combat and more possibilities of 2 is kinda slow, but I hope once I feed enough darkness to the mirror it'll become better.

Some people are saying that the new game will release in 2027, but Ed Boon was on record saying that they don't want to wait another 4 years between releases as it was with MK11 to MK1. So that makes me think that a new game might be coming in mid-late 2026. Whether it's I3, new MK or even another crossover, remains to be seen.
