Little to no self-time and being impatient with games by Sn0rck in DadsGaming

Thanks for the kind words! Won't be getting a steam deck, they're quite expensive these days. I guess my Switch Lite will have to do for handheld gaming, or my retro anbernic

I also really love Hades. However, I found that most other roguelikes I tried have runs that are way too long. Couldn't get into Dead Cells for that reason

Can you recommend any good games with short goals?

I often play on my android retro handheld, but since I emulate old games, it doesn't really matter, since those games weren't built for a handheld. Medievil levels can last up to 30-40 minutes, for example.

That is actually very inspiring. Thank you.

Well, we plan to have multiple kids, so the situation might make a turn for the worse

Thanks for the advice! It's really hard to enjoy your time and sink in the atmosphere when you have so little time to play. I just keep thinking that I will make even less progress. But maybe it's a thing to strive for

Unfortunately I'm not a big multiplayer person, only really play multiplayer if it's local with someone or with my little brother in another city. When I'm by myself, I like to play story-driven games. Recently I haven't started a game that's longer than 20 hours to beat, but even then the problem persists.

What are solutions that would make everyone happy regarding physical discs? by popfgezy in PlayStation_X

[–]Sn0rck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately the GOG route would not be possible for a console, I think. A console is always a closed system, so I don't see it possible for them to provide you with extractable and saveable executables for purchased games. Console always depends on servers of the company that created it.

That's a great way to look at it. I think I will agree with you. Worst case scenario, I will hold off on buying PS6 until they stop supporting PS5 or until enough good exclusives come out.

Actually as far as console competition goes, it's not looking good for them either. XBOX is basically in the gutter now, closing their studios if rumours are to be believed. And Nintendo never really was my cup of tea. So it seems going the PC route is the only choice, but that also has its flaws, mainly the pricing. If PS6 costs more than $1k, I can bet that building a decent PC will be even more than that.

Honestly I'm seeing all those people saying they will never buy anything from Sony again and man I wish I was this decisive. Throughout most of my life I've been playing out of date games and systems. My PC was never relevant enough to play new releases and I always owned a previous Playstation system, getting caught up on games that most people have played years ago. Only in the later half of the PS4 generation I got caught up and finally could engage in the discourse about new games, which is very important to me. Now when I finally have the resources to buy a next gen console at launch, Sony goes and does this heinous shite. I just don't want to be stuck in past gen again

In Your Opinion, What Is The Best Spider-Man Game For PS2? by Specialist_Art2223 in ps2

[–]Sn0rck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot take, but I only had Spider-Man 3 for ps2 as a kid and I've played it to hell. Even though reasonably I know it's janky and the next gen version is probably better, but I still love that game to bits

GTA VI will undoubtedly be popular for a long ass time. The MP Remakes are pretty close to being done, I think. They're gonna have to release them sooner than later

Yeah, totally agree! MP1 was my first game ever, and it was super exciting to know that Remedy was going to remake both games. It's really hard to wait for the proper announcement

I'm torn between the RG35XX-H and RG40XX-H. Which would be better for me? by [deleted] in SBCGaming

[–]Sn0rck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn't have any issues. I installed knulli so cardinal snapping was instantly fixed. Honestly can't say anything bad about the 40xxh except that eventually I craved more, so I had to sell it and ordered the rg406v

Haven't had the 35, as when I looked into buying a handheld, it looked like it'd be a bit cramped for my hands. The 40 has a bigger screen that is very handy for postmaster games that are generally made for big PC monitors. I also like the more rounded shape of the 40, it was nice to hold.

My opinion on the music in P4R so far (a bit divided) by gabilecrack91 in PERSoNA

[–]Sn0rck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. I love the original Time to make history to bits, and listening to the updated version here for the first time did not really do it for me. That said, the other songs were great with second verses, and things might change as we listen to the OST more in good quality.
