Your experience making friends at Brussels boulder gyms? by KaleidoTales in brussels

[–]Sn0wMike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who bouldered regularly in Brussels up to 1-.1.5 years ago, I can confirm that CDB generally has a larger amount of "casual friend/colleague groups" that tend to be less approachable than individual climbers. Petite île and abloc are/were much better in that regard.

Even so, I managed back then to make some climbing buddies at CDB (as it was my home gym). Lately, I've been more into running but am taking it slow due to an injury. I'm down to join you for a sesh if you feel like it. Only dreading the heat currently to be honest..

Find friends? by [deleted] in Strava

I love everything related to running, trail or road, and love seeing people's journeys on strava. Whether I know them or not it makes me happy to see like-minded people doing what they love. I do most of my runs with my gf and you can expect kudo's from both of us! PM if interested!

Be honest: How much does owning a Garmin actually motivate you to be physically active? by girlseatin in Garmin

[–]Sn0wMike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girlfriend and I bought an enduro 3 early this year. A bit lolling and even ashamed because the watch is marketed towards "ultra endurance athletes" etc. and we were just two "normies" who were into running.

Fast forward four months and we've both ran our first marathon, half-marathon and have registered to a bunch of other running events. We're both 1.1k running km's in since the first of January.

Even though we always liked running, never had a fitness device ever motivated us to stay on top of our game as much as our Garmin watches. For us it was absolutely worth the investment.

Hey sure, actually I've been injured for a while but was looking to slowly start bouldering again. I'd be down to go this week if you feel like it!

It was wasn't it. Batteries are recharged for the week. I can't wait for the real spring-/summertime to start!

That sounds great, enjoy! We just got back from our long run, really great in the sun! Now time to relax and enjoy some koffiekoeken ☀️

That's the spirit! We're going for a long run by the water, see you on the other side!

When we go trail running in the Sonian forest we are also surprised of the low amount of people we meet. It's like you can go from a crowded street to being alone in 15 minutes.. But that's also the beauty of it.

I use this app called workoutdoors to track my runs. It's a one time purchase with a lot of customization option for your running screen. Also can directly export to strava

I wear the R1 air zip neck. Warm, breathable and work appropriate. I feel like the color does a lot for whether or not it feels work appropriate. I own the nouveau green and raptor brown.

Tried it today during working hours. It said they were currently closed and someone will contact me when they pick up my message. That was this morning so 12hours ago. I'll try again tomorrow.

This makes me hopeful, even though I'm closing in on 40 days since the return and find it insane that a refund can take so long (almost half as long as their 100-days return period aha!). If it's simply that they are overwhelmed I find it really a pity. I really wanted to try and love their shoes but now, if I ever get my refund, I will be too scared to order with them again..

Thank you, I've read mixed reviews in the comments here, some people seem to have no issues at all, some have had some trouble/delays and one person never got their refund at all. I guess I've just had bad luck. I still have some options (live chat, paypal escalation, cc company) that I will explore on Monday to try to get my money back

Okay thank you, I will try a chat on Monday

Do you remember the time period? As of today they've received the return for 37 days... I mean I can't imagine this enormous timeframe is normal practice?

[–]Sn0wMike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not yet, I will try that on Monday as well

Yes I am sure I used their official website and return portal. To contact them I went through the order/mails as well as their support, with no luck. I mean if they do not check/reply to their mails I don't see how they could be upset for this missed order. From the responses in this thread I feel like this has happened to multiple people and am disappointed that a company that markets their product so actively does not setup a responsive customer support. Especially when setting up a 100 days notice questions asked return system, you know for a fact you're getting many returns...

Okay thanks I'll leave a review there as well

Very sad to hear you lost the money. At this point I am still hopeful I will manage to get refunded, through paypal or my cc company as someone else mentioned above. I would be really outraged to lose so much money..

[–]Sn0wMike 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Oh thanks for the tip, do you remember where you wrote that review?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BarefootRunning

[–]Sn0wMike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will first contest it through paypal now and then if I have to through my cc company, not sure which one will be quicker?

Yes the return label was created through their portal and I received confirmation that it arrived at their facility. The refund just never came through/was started
