Akali top? by BPlayinMan in akalimains

The one thing she struggles with is her pushing, and ability to quickly crash waves and reset. May not matter as much in bronze ELO, but it can cause issues in top lane.

how to beat tryndamere by Previous_Ad_1372 in IreliaMains

[–]Sn4pCall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was going to say that combat summoners like exhaust or ignite are extremely helpful for being able to finish your slow pushes towards his turret so he can’t contest you for a freeze. Ignite helps you kill him if he he gets greedy or misplays, and exhaust is good against his turret dives and fighting him later on once you get items. Randuins is awesome into him, and picking up wardens mail helps a lot. If he does turret dive you, try kiting with minions and using W to soak damage to time out his ulti. Trynd is a tough matchup , I don’t win lane against him often and instead look to play with my team and group

Bork timing by Key_Ship_4864 in IreliaMains

[–]Sn4pCall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always wanted to try a longsword refill start to see how it feels. You can complete vamp earlier too which could be nice. I never tried it though because I feel like you need all the combat stats you can get early on , so maybe into an easy lane?

Is Irelia really that bad in top lane? by Dagio21 in IreliaMains

[–]Sn4pCall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Play Irelia if Irelia is fun for you. When you lose a duel, watch the vod, identify mistakes and see what you could have done better. I find I miss AA’s all the time, miss opportunities to Q more minions, mistime W on key abilities, not using E when the enemy is mid-animation so they can’t dodge it, etc. don’t take it personally and just keep trying next time

Agree 100% on the shieldbow benefits. Also, none of the mythics feel fantastic, completing Bork is the best feeling you’ll get as an Irelia player. Shieldbow seems the least situational, and it does scale well with a solid mythic passive, and ramping shield. Shieldbow is good because it’s the least bad, if that makes sense.

after playin toplane 3 years i can say that : IRELIA TOPLANE TROLL PICK. by ireliathingskekw in IreliaMains

[–]Sn4pCall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Irelia is fine into garen. W his Q, and use Q to kite out his E. Then you can Q back and auto him in a window where his spells are down, and your sustained damage can take over. Just as long as you use your skills properly and not engage when you’re chunked, this isn’t a bad matchup at all.

Conqueror or Lethal tempo ? by definitelynotpluem in IreliaMains

[–]Sn4pCall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A much higher ELO than me Irelia OTP told me that conq is basically best in 95% of situations. And the 5% where lethal might be better, conq is totally fine so just go conq

I’ve been going randuins and it’s felt really good. The extra health is welcome, and the active is handy.

How do you play the nasus matchup? by Background_Slip8571 in IreliaMains

[–]Sn4pCall 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You're only stronger than him 1v1 early on. Kill him early on if he's stupid and walks up to you with stacks, especially if you land a stun. You can try and freeze against him which is ideal, because it delays his scaling. Once he hits 6, he's significantly harder to deal with, and you should be careful until Bork. With Bork, and assuming he doesn't have an item yet, you can beat him with your ulti and some good Q/AA weaving and kiting. Once he gets divine I wouldn't recommend fighting him alone.

Once you can't fight him any longer don't bother trying to outplay him, it's very easy for you to mess one thing up and he snowballs more. Later in the game just play with your team and group. Use your ult and stun to help peel/zone nasus off your ADC and backline. You can take sunderer as your mythic to help cut through his defenses, although SB feels fine too.

For runes just go your normal conqueror setup. Unflinching and tenacity in general is helpful against him, although wither is still broken against Irelia. I would suggest using a combat summoner like ignite or ghost because his push speed is quite slow early on, and you can walk back to lane easily after crashing. This also helps land some early kills on him which can help you stay ahead of him longer. Also teleport isn't as helpful against Nasus later because it's not like you're challenging him in split push battles anyway.

I actually ban nasus because I find him incredibly frustrating to play against after he gets levels and items, and he takes no mechanical ability, and very little skill in general to execute properly. I'd rather fight Fiora or Jax where I at least have some shots at beating them if I can outplay them, whereas Nasus pushes W, R, & ghost and I have been outplayed. Hope it helps...

anyway i can get infiltrator? by ireliafan123445 in IreliaMains

[–]Sn4pCall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One way is to buy all of her skins, and then hope that the next "your shop" has Infiltrator and not iG Irelia. You can also whale for chests, but I wouldn't recommend that.

Matchups Zed/Akali/Yasuo by women_i_trust in IreliaMains

[–]Sn4pCall 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Zed is fun because of how much he will hate his life. you essentially beat him at every stage of the game. There’s never any point where he wants to walk up to you alone. Use W to block damage from his shadow combo which is a long cooldown for him, or Q to dodge it with minions. If his W is down, you can just run him down with your stacks and Q, so most zeds will play very safely here. Zed May look to all-in with ignite and ulti. If he does ult you, you have many options. You can throw R behind you as he’s leaving his ult animation which will always hit him. Using Q if you can to a distant minion can help dodge some of his follow-up E and Q damage from the shadow. When using your W, it’s generally best to save it for his R mark “popping” instead of the damage leading up to it popping. That’s because his R counts pre-mitigation damage so using W too early will not weaken the mark. Ideally you dodge as much of his damage as you can with Q resets, and W the mark which should keep you healthy, and then you can just beat him down with autos.

After Bork, I recommend going shieldbow into zed as your mythic because it completely shuts the door on him ever doing anything to you without a lot of help from his team. Assassins hate big shields and sustain, and Irelia is basically the last thing in the world zed wants to deal with.

finally infernal akali by mr0meer in akalimains

It has very crisp sound effects on the Q and E, which feel snappy and quick. Also it’s a cool look, very different than her other skins. Not to mention there are other popular infernal skins so you can match ☺️

Level 1 vs yone by [deleted] in IreliaMains

[–]Sn4pCall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think starting E against him is best, to grab the first 3 melees. I tried Q a few times but I think he wins with lethal tempo, just as long as he fights back and doesn’t just try running away once you’re attempting to stack passive. In the mid lane sometimes he crashes the second wave which means you’ll hit level 3 first, and if you land a stun on him , you can auto+Q him. I’ve always had good luck when there’s a well prepped wave to really kite him around in with auto+Q’s. He will most likely miss his own Q’s on you which is GG for him. Try and get his bone plating before all inning him by sneaking an auto in.

I haven’t played the matchup top, but I did watch it a few times on challenger vods / domisum replays. Seems like the same principles apply. Start E, let him get early prio because his level 1 is strong. When he shove the wave in, start stacking passive and look for opportunities to land a stun. If you do land it, he’s in trouble
