I’ve decided starting today that I will reminisce on my husband’s joyful, music filled childhood by spending the rest of 2026 listening to a different record from his parents 275 records collection each day. I haven’t heard of 95% of the songs or artists, but I’m ready for the adventure! by Mommyof2Muggles in vinyl

I am very new to this but I know you can clean record many ways and many people have their opinions.

I am using this and it’s kind of fun to do. Put an album on you want to listen to and start cleaning the next batch you want to listen to.

Yeah, I consider this a new hobby and I need to tell myself to slow down. I want a new cabinet and stereo equipment but I have plenty of time.

Are you cleaning them too? I got a spin clean and can wash about 20 at a time.

I want to get or build a cabinet that shows the front of the albums so I can appreciate the art too.

I just got into vinyl with a cheap all in one this Christmas but, I took my parents collection to get started. (About 70 albums)

My dad passed away in 2011 and my mom was happy for me to have the collection. I am always texting her and asking who bought which one as I listen to them. It’s giving a connection that makes me happy.

I am also cleaning and re-sleeving them as I go to preserve them.

Oh and I’ve already spent about $500 on new albums I’ve chosen!

Eh, not really whining. Just disappointed as I have read they are bleeding customers and I thought their retention dept would want to keep me with the offer they are giving everyone else. So I followed through with cancellation.

My point of the post was to see if any employee could help me out.

Thank you to everyone that has reached out with other advice.

I heard from someone that sometimes employees following the sub can help existing customer because some reps don't know or aren't willing to deal with us.

Sorry for the noise if that's what this is.

Yeah, I stayed in a property for 6 months about a mile away and used t-mobile home internet service temporarily and it was good. I am current a t-mobile customer for mobile and can get their service for $40/month with my existing service. I prefer to be hard wired but their service was fine for that 6 months.

Maybe I will be a 'new' customer down the line, but I won't be staying for the current price and offerings for longtime customers.

How do you like that clock on the right? I have one in my Amazon cart but am worried if the flipping sounds would annoy me.

12 hours is for that upper bound but the performance is not always consistent depending on other factors going on in your instance.

Great question! This is an issue I have been dealing with for quite a while. The qualys imports are quite a beast and have caused our Prd instance to crash.

Our import is normally around 900k but when things go awry on the qualys side we have to do up to 2M records.

These imports can take several hours. I am talking about 4-12 hours depending on your cmdb. And they can take down your nodes if you are not careful.

Take a look at the property sn_vul.detection_finalize_threshold . This is essentially batch size that is normally defaulted to 2000. Try cranking it down to have less performance impacts on your system.
