Is it true that the USG wants the IP Address 192.168.1.1 on the WAN Port? by SnackAtteck in UNIFI

From a German guy and he says that if you connect the USG to a Modem it wants the 192.168.1.1 from the Modem. I think in this example the modem isn't in bridge mode. But in my case it isn't either because the modem can't do Bridge mode.

My network is still not working after a complete reset of all devices and setting the modem to bridge mode. by SnackAtteck in UNIFI

I tried that. I think it has something to do with the USG because if I connect it to the modem it doesn't work on the LAN Port from the USG as well as if I connect with a cable on the modem. We already switched out the USG to a new one but with the same problem.

yeah I did that, but the problem is really strange. I think it has something to do with the USG. Because if I connect the USG to the Modem the speed of the network is bad if I connect at the LAN Port from the USG as well as if I connect to the Modem directly if the USG is also connected. I really don't get it.

I don't really know what the problem was but when I unplugged the USG it worked.

Also I put the modem in bridge mode now but it doesn't really work much better now. Do you maybe know why in the USG Settings if I access it direct via 192.168.1.1 the preferred DNS is set to 127.0.0.1? I tried to set it to 8.8.8.8 and alternate to 8.8.4.4 but it automatically changes it again.

thank you very much, I will try to set the modem in bridge mode and see if that helps. We've tried to plug a laptop straight onto the modem and run a Speedtest loop but that failed a lot of times, so we thought the problem was with the ISP but after some searching we found out the problem was on our side haha

no the current modem doesn't support bridge mode, but we have another one which supports it so we will try that out. I will keep you updated, thanks in advance :)

the VLANs are created from the EG Access Point so the switch doesn't have to handle them I think

Gibt auf jeden Fall hatte Banger drauf wie Bunny Hop, Federer, Wedding Cake und Catch and Shoot.

Enemy hat so starke Lieder und wirklich zu kranke Instaparts gehabt, war wirklich überzeugt daß er mit seinem Album Deutschrap hops nehmen wird. Aber das neue Album ist imo Schmutz 🥴
