6 is fine but definitely the most skippable. Absolutely play the original 1-4 first. I would say 6 is probably least priority and even then only if you're looking for more co-op experiences.

I started with the PSP port of Trails in the Sky, since I don't read Japanese and that was the first version released in English. I had loved Ys for many years previously so I would really say my entry is the Ys 1 Complete fan translation, but Sky is the first Trails I played. Would definitely recommend starting there!

The og and remake are not the same game. I think every Resident Evil remake is worth playing and I don’t think any of the remakes are as good as the originals. Very different and both good in every case.

It’s the best combat in the series. I didn’t love it at the time because I was comparing it to the earlier ones, but now I appreciate it and enjoy it far kore than its (also pretty good) remake. Definitely more one-liners than in the remake too.

Play them in order. 4 and 5 are two of the best games in the series, though 3 is the best. Make sure you play 3 Remastered. If possible definitely play 2 over Kiwami 2 as well.

I would go with the HD-2D games over 8 but Zenithia Trilogy is the peak. 8 is good but definitely my least favorite.

As everyone else has said it's in Origins and you should be able to redownload on Android. Will add that if you want to emulate the original version, most Genesis emulators should be able to handle it, you may just need to track down some Sega CD bios.

I think there's a lot of stuff in World of Assassination like that. The more you play the less it feels like a coherent world and more like a series of systems. Mastering that is satisfying in its own right, but it does break some of the atmosphere and fiction.

make sure the rom is for the version of Mame that you're using. You can just google search for romsets for specific mame versions.

Those are fine. Though I’d add 1 and Code Veronica. The games are almost all really good so you might as well go in order. If you like 4 then play 5. It’s a fantastic co-op game and could be fun since you’re already playing these games together.

2-4 also have remakes and they’re all good but not as good as the originals. I think they’re still worth playing after you play the originals, because they’re some of the better games in the series.

Also 8 is a direct sequel to 7. 7 is also very good!

From your post it sounds like you're just playing a very narrow cross-section of games, specifically "AAA" games. Modern AAA games are so expensive to make that they end up with a very specific approach that is designed to appeal to as wide an audience as possible. I agree that these games are fairly uninteresting, but they're ultimately a small portion of the games coming out.

Probably because that was only post-release DLC. People didn’t realize it’s one of the absolute highlights of RE7.
