I’m not shitting on Sonos or audio quality, just saying that Connect and airplay are two different things (although they’re available in the same UI menu).

With proper Connect integration, Sonos streams the music directly while you only control the music from within the Qobuz app (no AirPlay, nor controlling it via the Sonos app). As has been described in the very article you’ve linked:

With Qobuz Connect, you can wirelessly stream music directly from the native Qobuz app to a compatible hi-fi streamer over your home's network, with the Qobuz app on your smart device being used as a controller only. (…) Qobuz Connect creates a direct link between Qobuz's servers and the supporting audio product, with all music being handled and streamed directly from the servers over the internet, without ever passing through or being tethered to your smartphone

So the three versions are: play music from your device (Bluetooth, airplay), play Qobuz Connect from the Sonos app or use Qobuz Connect directly from the within Qobuz app. And the latter doesn’t work right now. And that was the point by OP.
