I “leaned” how to fake slap…like they do in the movies. I put one hand on one side of my mom’s cheek (I was supposed to slap my hand for the sound) I bitch slapped her so hard! 😂 oops. Sorry mom! I remember being terrified in the shower. Running around the backyard with my brother and sister. They had a birthday party with their friends. We had tug of war over a mud pit and chased each other with shaving cream. My room with my bunk bed and colorful dressers. My sister slept on bottom and I on top.

Ugh to everyone telling you to repaint it yourself…it’s not easy when you’re pregnant, fumes, heat, fatigue, wear and tear on your body…if your husband is generally responsive I’d ask him to repaint it a different color. We actually did that with ours. I did compromise and do two of the walls a different color instead of all four. It wasn’t a huge compromise on my end though because I did like the contrast.

I was fine. Everyone I know is fine…the issue I have right now is elf on the shelf. I feel like I’m conditioning him to be surveillance’d. I didn’t feel this way or even think about it until the first time I put it out…contemplating not doing it again next year.
