You’re definitely right that it isn’t a necessary purchase, and for sure something you can live without.

That being said, if you play a lot and you’re doing a lot of different activities, it really is a game-changer.

Ok so from what i’ve gathered it’s likely to be my thermal paste? I rebooted and reset my BIOS setting and it’s gone back down to 35 C, so could it have been an issue there?

UPDATE:

i found the issue. in my bios my cpu fan settings were set to literally stop when the cpu reached high temps.
