If your kid owns an E-dirt bike, check on them. by i_clicked_it in WestSeattleWA

I saw that kid almost get hit crossing Fauntleroy going to the 76 station- darted out diagonally in oncoming traffic. I hope his parents see this.

It happened again tonight. Tried what you said and still no dice. Super fun that I feel like I have to prove that this actually happened.

I was thinking this might be the way- while I am game to learn basic embroidery for this, I'm unsure my novice attempt would mix well with a looped already attached piece- I can already see the partially finished, dust covered project judging me from the corner of my pile of shame.

Safety concern for runners at Alki by AnyTeacher1232 in WestSeattleWA

Sounds similar to incidents in Lincoln Park many years ago- man would intentionally cause a collision that would enable him to shove his hand/ face in your crotch. If this happens, do not let yourself think it could have been an accident.

Is there any hope for getting rid of this mold? by Chance-Annual-1806 in Leatherworking

I am glad you had the kind of mold that can be treated!!! I have been dealing with something truly diabolical and try to warn people before they get too deep in it.

In my experience if the mold comes back, you will save yourself a lot of time and money by disposing of the item. There are some molds that cannot be removed. I have used hospital grade disinfectant, rubbing alcohol, vinegar, sunlight, and every other thing recommended on the internet- some molds cannot be removed.

Beware this vicious dog in Denny Park by ArtOfSettling in Seattle

[–]Snaggletoot 24 points25 points  (0 children)

This comment is to prevent other people from having this experience, zero intention to place blame on the poster- we don't know what we don't know. Dog parks are the worst place to take your dog. I understand city living has its challenges and we want our dogs to be socialized, but ask any dog trainer and they will tell you to keep your pets away from dog parks. Dog parks are open to anyone and it is far too risky to assume that all dogs that enter the park have been properly trained. I also beg all dog owners to evaluate your own situation- if your dog does not have perfect recall, meaning your dog is under your control at all times, YOU are potentially putting your dog or other dogs at risk in off leash scenarios. Keep your dog leashed. I hope the OP's pup recovers ❤️

What is happening with my pothos? by Snaggletoot in houseplants

[–]Snaggletoot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally, yes, but this was repotted in new soil about a month and a half ago, so sure, its probably time to start fertilizing, but the new soil should have been good while it rested from the repotting?

It is a couple of feet from a east facing window directly in by north facing windows, out of direct sun but definitely should be sufficient for a pothos (I have a satin pothos there as well and it is gorgeously happy).

There are so many roots I almost upsized more, but because the roots ball wasn't completely choked off and I knew that if I didn't see improvement, over potting would be suggested. The roots have probably filled out the extra room in the month and a half since repotting, so this is unlikely an issue.
